  1. I know how it works. I’m just taking a shot at a group that loves to cry poor come cba time.
  2. You would think these paragons of capitalism would institute that in their sports here rather than socialism where everybody makes a profit if they want and there’s no incentive to pull up by your bootstraps.
  3. Yes. My friend follows the local scene and said he’s the best in the area.
  4. Springsteen. I guess I get it because he's talented and puts on great shows I've heard but I just can't get into it. Maybe that's a different question from what you are asking. I don't like to say someone is good or bad because it's all subjective and there's no right or wrong in my opinion. Just personal taste. I gave his catalog an honest try during the pandemic and it didn't do anything for me. That said I thoroughly enjoyed his interview with Stern that you can watch on HBO Max.

You can see the tracks of the Rover they used
  6. TSLA told him to shut the fuck up
  7. Weiss was banned for a bit... she asked Musk for comment about the Doxxing bannings so he banned her.
  8. I'm not keeping score. Just wondering why the right wingers are calling for congressional investigations and targeting advertisers who choose not to do business with a site that's sympathetic to nazis. They are the ones who seem to think it's a big deal. I've asked who was banned that has the right wingers upset and you answered "nobody" so that settles it as far as I am concerned. The whole 'both sides' argument is non existent.
  9. the tweets that were "banned" referred to Hunter Biden's penis. Apples and some Oranges. Musk isn't committing any crimes and nobody has alleged that. It's an issue of consistency in how he chooses to run his business. He can do what he wants, that's his right. It's his. But people can call him a hypocrite, which is what they are doing. I've been asking all over... who was unjustly banned according to the right wingers? Last night Musk referred to Twitter as a publisher in his defense of banning links to other platforms. That's a big deal legally and I'm sure he'll back away from that.
  10. I went to Hamtramck on Saturday night to see some local music. First time in a long time I've done that. Have a friend very much into the scene. Went to Planet Ant, in their ghost light room. Maybe 50 people. It was fun. I wish I could have stayed longer to hear Tony Muggs when his band got up there.
  11. Their “problem” is that people here don’t understand how they work.
  12. I always get an aisle seat and while I don’t stand up right away I will eventually and like to prop both arms up and block the path. Casually. Make sure everyone in my row on both sides get out like I am responsible for them. last summer when flying to fort myers there was an elderly Indian lady on our flight who spoke broken English. People adopted her as their mom or grandma and made sure she got what she needed. She was getting emotional as the guy in a cart led her away. I heard her say “everyone is being so nice to me”.
  13. There should be a deplaning custom where the first 2 minutes are for who doesn’t need to go in an overhead bin. Just get up and walk out. 1/3 of the plane is now empty. Of course it would never work because there’s always someone who says “yeah but my stuff is right here… I’ll just quickly get it” or “I gotta get off now!” Nothing works when people have to cooperate. 5% of people make life miserable for 95%.
  14. Someone once sugggested a drag queen named Rhonda Santis should follow him around.
  15. He did say he wanted to be transformative in a way that Reagan was and Clinton wasn’t. Bill and Hillary tried to go after him on that in the primary as saying he was endorsing the Reagan agenda. He wasn’t. He was acknowledging its impact. I think he succeeded in that for the reasons you stayed. Roberts recognized that when he voted to uphold obamacare.
  16. “Joe the plumber”. he did say that in a condescending way. Like he wasn’t worth listening to. But Joe turned Rittenhouse and milked it.
  17. That’s right. I forgot about that until Trump had his moment with the reporter. Someone asked me about that as a comparison. I don’t know if I said this at the time but he apologized. When you apologize then it should be accepted and you move on. That is how adults do it. Not sure I was that generous back then. I was probably just being political. But one thing I won’t budge on was his NASA cuts. There’s enough room in our budgets to have kept flying or at least prepare to. He just shut it down.
  18. I know what you mean. it's why I still follow certain right leaners who aren't in the cult, someone like a Jay Caruso. They will still go after the D's. But I honestly do not know if I will ever vote for a Republican in this generation. The ones I'd consider won't get a nomination above a local seat, when party is irrelevant, so it's moot. But it's also led me to look back at things like the Iraq war and realize it probably wasn't on the level as to why we went in. I'm not going so far as to say it was a conspiracy for $$ or oil or whatever... just that certain people wanted it done so it happened. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a matter of revenge and removing a bad guy when they had a chance. There were no wizards behind the curtain with other motives.
  19. Trump was certainly the catalyst. I once looked through the old site's threads to see if I could find anything but I think it was just gradual. I do think I was prepared to vote for Rubio or Kasich, or anyone else with the exception of Cruz maybe. I voted for Romney and wanted him to win. Once I saw the GOP go all in on Trump I realized it was bullshit. A lot of people will never admit they were wrong.
  20. I used to read that. David Horowitz ran it. Then it got too crazy, even for me at the time when I was more right wing. This was years before Trump and the Tea Party.
  21. I believe two factor authentication is dead on twitter. Musk killed the group that maintained it. I have a friend who logged out and cannot get back in due to 2FA not sending over a code.
  22. Obviously Musk can do what he wants. Not a free speech or first amendment issue. But in their world when people on the right got banned… well it’s certainly hypocritical. is this a crime or should congress get involved? No. But he’s making his site less attractive for visitors so now is that helping him? I don’t see it
  23. So is his play to turn twitter into a RW echo chamber because those people are dumb enough to pay for access?
  24. I almost want them to give it to him because clearly they are too stupid to have money.
  25. I go to see my friends and because baseball is back. But we are over the party atmosphere. I just can’t take all the public drunkenness. Same reason I don’t to go o lions games anymore. We get there early just to secure parking.
