Chris Ilitch is in the best shape of his life.

Musk has entered the Michael Jackson/Elvis phase of having too much fame and wealth and being surrounded by Yes Men. He obtained all the material and physical satisfaction that money can buy in terms of toys and the flesh. Now he need to get his "high" from something else as the other things bore him.

Flair came close to joining the WWF in 1988. I think summerslam was going to be his intro.

Have family who's parents were in a camp. The oldest son was born in it and came over as a baby when the parents were able to get out, served in Vietnam, and just a few years ago after many years of hassles became a citizen. It's unreal the paperwork he had to go thru after putting on a uniform. At one point the paperwork was sent back because the date format was wrong, dd-mm-yyyy instead of mm-dd-yyyy. And it wasn't even a confusing one, the days were higher than 12. Anyone could have figured it out that was paying attention. paper pushers.

Except she always has some prune ones in there. I just don't get it. Nobody eats prunes because they want to. "But that's what we had when I was a little girl and I was raised by parents and aunts/uncles who grew up in the depression"

Having a polish mother in law and a son with a girlfriend who's whole family was born in Poland means I'm getting the good stuff...

I could easily pick up a station out of Chicago, (1000 AM?) in the 90's and sometimes if it were a clear night a station out of St. Louis. KMOX?

Depends on whether you are in the blackout area. If you are then yes you are screwed if you cancel. If you are not then you could get mlb.tv and watch. Could also pay for the Bally app I think. That’s like $20 a month.

The media can report on it. They can ask McCarthy about it. Nothing will happen. We’ve been in a phase in politics where nothing that is said matters anymore. She could announce on the house floor that blacks should be slaves again and nothing will happen to her. The people that disagree will yell at her. It will make them feel better. But she won’t be punished. Is Georgia a red or blue state? Voted for Biden. Has 2 dem senators.

I used to fret that too many people would be at the game when I would walk up for tickets becaise you get above 18K “real” attendance then you stood chance of obstruction. And it wasn’t just the seats directly behind them that were an issue you could be rows behind and have them in front of players and action. Plus the overhang of the upper deck meant you couldn’t see fly balls.

But they're not going to see the response. Nobody who needs to see the response will see it. The worst thing for these people is to be ignored.

In the mid 90s I would get a new box but only have the coax in when watching. I got all the movie channels until they sent a refresh signal while I had it plugged in. Would last at least 6 months.

Her saying these things is just her method of being an influencer, she's no different than people on tiktok and other similar social media platforms who do things just for attention. She knew that tweet would cause a shit storm. Nothing will happen to her. She's just throwing shit at the wall. All these grifters like this.

I've muted her, blocked her, and done the same for a lot of people and it has made my twitter experience so much better. We just don't need to see it anymore. I think the more people that do that the better off it'll be. That may piss off Elon (i've done the same to him) and they'll complain about "traffic". but whatever. Just do it. Some of the journos too. I'm on their side most of the time but just go ahead and spend a few minutes blocking/muting shit. The "For You" tab is great to spot it.

ah ok. now I know who he is. I didn't read them. I think you can look at each one on a case by case basis. If it's blatant and not germane to the character's actions or speaking style then I don't have an issue with it. Also if it's a distraction. I had this thought recently when I watched The Verdict for the first time. When Newman slaps her it was startling. Both that he did it and b/c it wasn't treated as a thing. He was mad. Slapped her. Then the other guys just pulled him away and off he went, like this is what people sometimes do when they get mad at a woman. He had every right to be furious with her obviously, so express it in a different way. If you are stereotyping minorities like we'd see with Asians and Black people back then, I think those are ok to edit or have a disclaimer b/c it's not the same thing as a slave owner using the N word. That's how they would have talked so represent that.

I don't even know who that is.

I do too. We've evolved to an on demand culture in how we consume our media. We don't just accept what they put in front of us. I think that's changed our brains a little bit. Even the earlier days of cable, up until 2000 or so. You didn't have 300 channels, but maybe 30 or 40. Just randomly hitting the "Channel up "button until you saw something you liked. Now we seek out specifically what we are looking for. We don't pick out a movie on Saturday to go see at the theater and hope we like it. I miss sitting down with my family as a kid and watching CBS on Friday nights, or being in high school and watching NBC on Thursday nights while I did homework. Now I have more available but spend 30 minutes looking for something, then end up watching The Office or whatever. It's hard to commit even 30 minutes sometimes where as in the past I feel like we didn't have so many distractions so we would.

when we were driving home from our yearly trips to TN, we always picked up WJR just south of Lexington. That's when the mountains started to give way. This was only during the night though. When I started driving I would like to leave around 3 pm, but before that the "old people" left in the morning.

My company sends out phishing tests and if you fail, then you are put on a list for potentail training. If you pass, you don't. The way you pass is 1) don't open it, 2) they give us a method to report a phish attempt. It's also a good way to get out of some stuff. A few times I would say "Sorry, didn't see that, I thought it was a phishing attempt"

Pre WDFN I would listen to "Sports Wrap" on WJR, it was in the evening but I don't recall the precise time. 6:30 to 8? Frank Beckman... Paul Chapman... Steve Courtney (He's still around I guess, I saw him in a commercial, haven't listened to WJR in a very very long time). On the weekend ESPN Radio was fun. I delivered pizzas so it was always there for me. Just a couple of guys goofing off in a studio. They made me laugh. There's something about the need to fill air over a few hours in an era when not everything was televised. So you'd hear the updates every 15 minutes and it was like listening to guys live tweet events. Had a morning show vibe to it and a fun way to stay on top of national sports news.

Near Sibley and Allen, Riverview. Next door to Riverview Highlands. They have a couple of very cool looking small buildings on the property.

Unless he plays well. Which I don't expect. The new fences means he will be hitting some bombs!

Imagine a 20 year reunion of the 2012 team and a 350 pound Miggy comes out to the seating area.
