this one cracks me up. They all know how they are going to rule. The arguments are pointless. This is the kind of case where i think if it were being done by an R admin the justices would just swap sides in their rulings. Although I did get put off by hearing some of Gorsuch's remarks about "fairness". Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think that's their job to sort out. Their job is to determine whether the executive branch has the authority to do this. Not whether it's right or wrong or good or bad or fair or unfair.

When we were there last year for a show I remember it being a bit pricier but I'm on 'vacation' so I didn't care or even pay attention. Cable and Satellite companies could give subscribers the option to remove those networks in exchange for a $6 reduction in monthly fees. Why wouldn't they want to do that? They can "cut costs to the consumer". Fox would bitch but I don't see their argument making any kind of legal standing. If viewers want it they can pay. I'm surprised there hasn't been more a la carte options like that. If they pay a network $5 a month for example, but offer the consumer a $4 reduction to have that removed then the company is still making $1 month to cover overhead and "profit". If they just hack off most of the pass through cost then what's it hurt them?

We go out every Saturday, nothing terribly fancy but not fast food or counter service either. No chain restaurants but similar. Usually it's 4 or 5 of us, I get a drink. We'll get an appetizer. Your problem in all of this is that you take cautious statements and attribute them as someone stating a fact. Fauci never said it didn’t come from a lab and that it’s absurd to think that. You keep referencing it but have yet to produce a single item showing he ever said that.

Politicians and their pundit friends are incapable of changing minds. That's a sign of weakness and worse, a conspiracy. No, you must plant your feed on a side and stay there at all costs.

I could see where the NBA could take over their own programming of local games, and letting the national networks carry on with what they do now. The Pistons actually used to create their own broadcasts. They weren't a production of the local Fox Sports or whatever it was called at the time. That's why at the beginning you'd hear Ken Calvert say something like "This is a production of Palace Sports Entertainment". It was basically an infomercial. They paid for the time and bought/sold the commercials themselves. Production staff got paid by the Pistons for those games.

Politicians lack the ability to undersrtand nuance and scientific thought. They have no qualms about lying and stating things as fact that aren't truth. A scientist will not tell you the sun will come up tomorrrow because it is possible the earth will stop rotating and we'll all die. So when a scientist says they don't know or aren't sure or the evidence isn't conclusive... well that shit don't fly in campaign commercials and ol' Gymbo and "Dr" Paul can't grandstand and mug for the camera and the half wit media commentators on the right play it up and their gullible followers eat it up.

Thats the sword that conspiracy theorists die on. The same government they decry as being incompetent and all that... are the same ones who can also arrange for these elaborate conspiracies covering many different organizations and thousands of people and keep them all in line.
