  1. I hope so. I hope these narrow minded people who live in their church/religious school bubbles come to realize how out of touch they really are.
  2. I want to see those same people cheering the prayer ruling when the coach at Fordson in dearborn leads his players in a prayer to Allah.
  3. I saw someone claim on social media that she’s afraid her IUD is in jeopardy. Says it’s the only thing keeping her healthy. I saw other references to certain cancer treatments being in jeopardy because they might cause a miscarriage. I agree that overall the reason why shouldn’t matter. I get it. But those passionate for that reason alone are already voting. You need to get those not voting and those not fully informed what this means. The unintended consequences need to be broadcast far and wide.
  4. Sadly you might be right. I’m thinking specifically to my mother in law. A devout Catholic. When we mentioned all the scenarios beyond birth control measures she was agreeable. But then we say “ok but that’s not what is going to be the law”. The nuance to this issue needs to be hammered relentlessly. this nation is a joke.
  5. In the next few months I bet we will see a doctor or even a mother prosecuted for performing an abortion that will have been done to protect the mother’s health. It will be a mother in her early 40s with two teenage children. An upper middle class family. The kids will be honor students and athletes. That’s the kind of thing that needs to happen so that the general pro life public who thinks this is just about birth control sees the real world consequences. Too many people assume it’s about loose women just wanting to have guilt free sex and just call themselves pro life because of that. Like Rosa Parks the test case has to be carefully selected.
  6. I have to imagine this more than anything has to mobilize the under 30 vote. If this won’t then nothing will.
  7. security was probably outsourced to the lowest bidder and the guards made $11 an hour.
  8. That’s the entire Trump presidency and his supporters. It’s “I saw it on the internet” guy. Typically someone over the age of 70 who is normal in most other aspects of life or a batshit crazy person under 50 who hasn’t left his parents basement since Bill Clinton was president.
  9. hope it was worth it
  10. I cancelled my Athletic sub because they could never remember who I was. I always had to log back in again. I would literally have the app open, logged in, then click on a tweet, it would take me not to the app but to a webpage to login.... I'd login, then it would take me to the main page and not the article I clicked on. They make it too hard to use their product and the price is beyond the point I can just ignore it.
  11. he plays the the game the right way. No buttoned down jersey or necklaces or whatever...
  12. By grandstanding I mean you are using your time and ability to talk to make specifically misleading statements knowing they can't be refuted at that moment by anyone. It's not about putting something on record but more about getting a favorable clip played that evening on your cable news station of choice. Another example of Grandstanding is back when the auto companies were asking for help and they asked if they flew there in corporate jets. Companies owning corporate jets for executives to travel is far more efficient and economical but no.... congress had to make their play and be holier than thou and the auto companies did the right thing and got rid of the jets for PR purposes.
  13. trading him before '17 would have been bad for marketing and ticket sales. How can you have a slogan when you trade your best hitter and one of hte most popular players? The Tigers org caters to the casual fan who is about 18 months behind on who is good and who isn't. The kind who thinks James McCann is a "kid" who deserves time to season and get better but Nick Castellanos is a washed up bust when in fact JM was 2 years older.
  14. The J6 hearing has been great for anothe reason somewhat related to that decision. It's a very important thing with no silliness coming from the members. No grandstanding. No silly gotcha questions. No preening for the camera. No monologues disguised as questions. Just a serious inquiry like Congress used to be at times.
  15. Their annual MSG Baker's Dozen run, where they don't repeat a song is amazing. I always would listen to that on the JamOn channel on Sirius. Definitely the kind of band I can put on and just chill and enjoy without having to know every intricacy or backstory.... I'm bummed because Tedeschi Trucks is coming next week on the same night as Dead and Co.
  16. It seems like everyone was ok with that trade.... which is fine b/c we are fans. We're not supposed to know everything. So it's fair to criticize him for that.
  17. I was told by the GQPKKK that Biden isn't doing it.
  18. I have a couple of friends who are die hards... both are not solid professionals at nearly the highest levels. But they travel like fan boys if they are close by. I have a couple of their popular songs on my rotation but can take it or leave it. Blaze On is a big favorite, especially this time of year when it starts to get really nice. Great driving song in my opinion.
  19. So Chevron admits they could lower prices? Hmmm....
  20. Trey was in the news yesterday for what he did in Grand Rapids.... pretty cool.
  21. so an unarmed mother with no body armor stormed in to get her kid but cops with armor and shields and guns were like "No, man....." Why are there even cops in that town? If you don't go in when kids are in the process of being killed then you don't need them.
  22. one of the referencing sites was "phish dot net" 🙂
