  1. Has the rule had the desired effect? I'm not a fan of it in the 10th or 11th. Start that in the 12th if you must do something. At that point put them on third. I can see the need to just get it over with. But not before that. But putting them on third may have the opposite effect as each team could easily score.
  2. Also "blacks" was trending too.
  3. "We have a heart problem. They need Jesus"
  4. the irony of thinking something called an 'amendment' is absolute.
  5. Pro life my ass
  6. Pence is fighting the subpoena and frankly I'm not sure he's wrong to do that. It's not about executive privilege but the speech and debate clause. He's claiming that he's acting as a legislator on Jan 6. My only reason for saying he's not wrong is that it's something the courts should have to sort out now. Get it on record.
  7. Wayne has said numerous times his dream was to play SS for the Detroit Tigers. He wanted to be Alan Trammell.
  8. And I just read that it was the most watched since 2017. Not a coincidence.
  9. I like NY slices because I can have 3 still and be kinda full.
  10. Did someone complain about Stapleton?
  11. and they don't call movies or films "Pictures"
  12. I took a screenshot of this alert 5 years ago.
  13. I follow an American Songwriter page and someone commented on the crotch grabbing and said something like "my kids saw that and started asking a bunch of questions" and it hit me that when people say that it's a real clue that they are full of shit. I love how the halftime show has transitioned between generations and we get the complaints about it's "not real music", and they don't know any of these songs.... The halftime did lead to learning that Rhianna is the second most wealthy female entertainer after Oprah. Depending on the source, it's either 1.4, 1.6 or 1.7 Billion.
  14. Yeah Cloverleaf is in the mix too among that original group. In fact I might have mixed up Shield's and Cloverleaf. At Loui's you will sit amongst old tables that have been there for decades, drink PBR, and sit below the old wine bottles with straw wrapped around them. There's no name taking, you just show up and if needed stand in line and wait for the next available table.
  15. There's a great podcast called Detroit History run by Tim Kiska, 30 min episodes, and they do one on Detroit Style pizza and the relationships between Buddy's/Loui's/Shields. I prefer Loui's but Buddy's is closer and the difference isn't really that much to make the drive to Hazel Park for me. I like the old school ambiance at Loui's. Buddy's is too "chain like" for me. You look around and you could just as easily be in a Chili's or Applebee's.
  16. They are comparing censorship war stories
  17. Just depends on who has the upper hand in negotiations, right? Some channels pay to be listed. Other’s demand money from the providers. I think the providers are finding out people don’t care that much about sports and they aren’t going to pay for the difference.
  18. Censorship is the government ordering someone to not publish something. That didn’t happen.
  19. This is the inevitable result of a funding model that relies on people paying for something they don’t use.
  20. That’s not censorship. Not even close.
  21. Encarnacion had a good look for a baseball player. Especially at that time. That’s before players began working out to the degree they do today. Slim. Muscular. Looked like an athlete.
  22. Cheap Trick might be the best band that I know the littlest about. They die Don’t be Cruel when I was in HS. Then here and there I would pick up a song I recognized but never knew it was them. Like 10 years ago The Henry Ford exhibit had a rock stars cars and guitars exhibit. I kept seeing guitars belonging to Rick Nielson but I wasn’t looking closely enough and I read it as Rick Nelson, thinking that I never knew he had such an elaborate collection and why didn’t I ever read about it when he died.
  23. It's the trap some catholics find themselves in with popes.
