The Bye is the big get for me. They have never earned home field advantage in the playoffs. During the recent run, post 2006 they never had it except 2006 and that was because the AL won the ASG. Does it mean anything? Not really but having one of the better records among playoff teams is a record of success. As good as the teams were in 2011-2014 there were other teams better during the regular season.

Talking about it on Sunday morning shows and podcasts will not affect them. Even Fox News turning on them won't affect them. They have the authority to do what they want and they will. I agree... however cost is an issue in poor communities as that's often all that's available. It's not easy in the neighborhoods in Detroit to find good fresh food that's good for you. especially if you don't have a car. But that can of soup and beef stick and cheese from the gas station will have to do. That's all you can get.

I just read a blip about Faubus a few weeks ago. Little Rock was relatively progressive at the time but the problem there was their Governor's had 2 year terms. Initially there wasn't expected to be a confrontation. Faubus didn't have a law degree so nothing really to fall back financially that typical southern Governors would have. When that incident occurred his reaction was considered a turn. He wasn't expected to do that but he knew if he did the right thing he'd lose re-election.

SpaceX has a lot to prove with their HLS system before any landings. Artemis II flies by the moon, not going into orbit, not even replicating Apollo 8, but HLS isn't involved in that. The HLS is ambitious. It's not like the Apollo where the lander goes along for the ride. This flies up separately, gets fueled several times in earth orbit, then takes off on it's own towards the moon. Then in lunar orbit the crew will transfer from Orion to the HLS.

Seidel's articles are fluff but I get the sense there's no animosity at all among them and I think the interchangability is intentional to make things sound fresh. I like it. Regarding Massie... yes he's often a tool and I disagree with him vehemently on things. But I fully support his stance on this Epstein stuff.
