I don't post in here often because everybody here says what needs to be said but I read it all and I've watched at least some of nearly every game this year and have been to 2 already (Boston and Montreal). Hoping to go tomorrow. Not just because they've won but their play the last 2 weeks has been noticably different.

is there a more annoying local media personality than Ryan Ermani? He's on Fox 2 and does a podcast or something and man... is his football knowledge so generic and shallow. I'm a total bandwagoner and I feel like I know more than he does. Says the most basic things as if he unearthed something meaningful. Just now on the news he says "Let me explain the divisional round for you. (dramatic pause). If the Lions win on Saturday, then win again the next week at home.. (dramatic pause)... the Lions are going to the Super Bowl" He does this kind of thing constantly.

I think he suffered in voting because later in his career and after we saw some very good catchers like Bench and Fisk and Munson, Carter, etc. and he played in an offensively depressed era. He gets lots of love now and I will be pretty surprised if he doesn't make it. Of course it all depends on the select few who decide who goes on the ballot, then the group who votes. I assume that's how they still do it. I haven't checked since they went down to just two era committees now. He needs 12 of 16 votes.

The contemporary player ballot is set for December of 2025 so I'm suspecting Lou to be inducted in July of 2026.
