I wouldn’t be surprised if that judge and court gets some heat over this. I saw the story when it aired and was half paying attention. I thought she was a defendant. The handcuffs thing is problematic for me. That’s physical restraint. The judge doesn’t know this girls situation. Maybe she is on meds. She didn’t commit any crime.

They are getting roasted on this story.

Nobody knows anything. It's just a circle jerk echo chamber of talk. They can twist anything into good or bad and the "talk" is just like Twitter's "Trending" feature where it's just people talking about the talking but nowhere is the actual words.

Is there a threshold where if Harris does too well then that is just OBVIOUS that the election was rigged and the votes are "AI".

My brief summary of this is simply that there were a lot of previous Biden voters who were not going to vote this year if it were Biden/Trump. There are also previous Trump voters who are not going to vote this year, and still won't. But not as many as the first group. With Harris on the ticket, a lot of those in the first group are now going to vote and she's not lost a statistically significant number of previous Biden voters. This runs counter to my conventional wisdom but the polls and enthusiasm we see show I was wrong. She elevated her base and did nothing to Trump's base. The D's had room to grow, the R's are maxed out. I saw a tweet earlier today that replayed a Nikki Haley quote from February. She said the first ticket to drop their 80 year old candidate would win. The next President will be a female, either her or Harris. She was right.

You aren’t alone in that observation. One reason, my opinion alone, is he wants to do what he can to raise awareness for Parkinson’s and this job helps him do that, along with doing Bernstein commercials.

So you are saying.... their motives aren't pure?

Hamassholes are at it again. They should all be clubbed like Rodney King was.

I think it's the former and they believe it's the former, which is why they aren't doing it. They aren't doing it to protect democracy or prevent problems during election certification. If they had those principles they would be focusing more on Trump's dementia, etc. They don't think they are valid leaks but propoganda.

This evening I get to view BP from the field. Got to do it last year and got Miggy's autograph. This year can't top that but it's still fun to be down there listening to them all talk and such. They show the launch angle and exit velocity and it's easy to figure out what you need to do for a HR.

I don't have a problem with it. Don't add fuel to the "it was rigged" fire. Don't give any election deniers any weapons to try to claim the election was fixed.... these crazy judges won't need much to justify crappy decisions.

Its like the antique (or any kind of speciality) shop that closes after the owners want to retire. It was always there but I can't tell you the last time I listened to one of our equivalent stations (950 AM?). The only time I listen to the radio now is to catch a Tigers score if I am in the car. If it's not the Tigers or Red Wings I have to scramble to find out which staton it's on. I've turned in car leases after 3 years that had no radio presets.

Me too.... (you see what I did there?) But maybe they want to contrast having former POTUS and candidates on board. On the GOP side they are in hiding from today's GOP.

It was a unique situation for us. Our regular family vacation followed up by a cousins trip. A rare occurrance for us. We ain't flashy.

Just a general observation as I have been out of the loop due to back to back vacations and being busy in betwee.... for all this injuries to this team... they are still in every game it seems. I'm not saying they are good but with this roster they should be getting smoked more often.

We were in Florida twice within the last month and could not figure out the weed situation there. We saw the places. I assume a card was required. But then we saw a place that said "No card required". We weren't looking to partake, just curious on the rules because I remembered hearing it was on the ballot this November.

I’m not sure that’s fair to The Henry Ford. The owner of the house, the daughter of the Jacksons, contacted them about relocating it there. The Henry Ford didn’t go in and scoop it up like hawks. The museum and village has many artifacts and exhibits related to civil rights and Justice. I think it will be in good hands and will reach over a million people a year, with many of those visitors coming from out of the country and this history will be somewhat new to them.

Bush and Cheney did not end on the best of terms either over the Scooter Libby affair. Cheney wanted a pardon, not a commutation or whatever it was. Bush said "No, he lied.... I am not pardoning someone who did something wrong".

Another thing about the decency of HW Bush. After Nixon's inauguration LBJ came home to Texas to some fanfare but for a departing president it's anti climactic for sure, especially one who didn't run because he couldn't win, which is the same as losing in practical terms. Who was there to greet him? A young congressman from the other party. That's class.

as do I. HW BUsh was my favorite president. They came from a family that pushed service. They knew they were fortunate in life and their belief system was that they needed to serve others because of that. Bush 41 could have come home after WWII and gotten a cushy job on wall street and led a comfortable life in the north east with no guilt or regrets, after all he was shot down in the war and almost beheaded. But he moved west and lived in self induced poverty for awhile and built up his own company.

It would take something extreme, like a Dem version of a Trump, to get me to go back. I have changed my beliefs in a lot of ways because I realized a lot of the talking points were horse ****. I'm pro choice all the way. I think the rich can pay more taxes and be ok with it. I used to believe in "trickle down" but you have to take care of people at a minimum level. I'm for gun control. I'm also for a strong military and I don't get into the arguments like we should cut defense to spend on something else. We can spend on both. We should help take care of the world. Basically I think it all came down to spending a lot of time on the right wing sites at the time and being in a bubble. National Review, Instapundit, WSJ, etc. I read that stuff all day long.
