My favorite podcast to listen to is The Rewatchables, run by Bill Simmons and his Ringer group. It's them talking about movies that are "Rewatchable", meaning we've all seen them a million times on cable, etc. It forces me sometimes to either watch a movie I just passed over all these years (even if they haven't done it yet but they keep referenceing it) or to revisit a one and done movie I just forgot about. Sea of Love and Running Scared are examples of this. The reason I'm posting this is when they did Running Scared a few months ago I searched for it and it was on Tubi. They make fun of Tubi. I made fun of Tubi. An old friend is a local actor and he stars in a series that's shown on Tubi, it's Detroit made. So I went to Tubi to watch Running Scared. My verdict? Tubi ****ing rules. It's got nearly everything. Yeah commercials. I don't care about that. If you like to watch TV and movies or are considering giving up the ohter streaming sites, give this one a shot.

I read a book about the fall of blockbuster. They had no interest in actually running the business. All they cared about was growth and expansion. (Stock price). They left so much on the table. No interest in data analysis or inventory management. The author worked for a big competitor in the south and wound up working for a big franchisee. He had to manually hack into their systems and hire a college kid to convert the data to csv files so he could devise a strategy. He would share with the corporate offices and they didn’t care. You had all this data on who bought what and when and where… they didn’t care. It’s a quick and fun read. I might revisit if. Lots of slap your forehead moments about things that seemed obvious.

I hope gas goes up to $5. I can afford it and I want to see all the trumpies try to now defend it. They deserve to suffer. I’ll buy gas cards for Harris voters if they need it.

A store near my barber has a bunch of random stuff and 2 months ago i stopped in after a haircut and I spotted a 4 pack of CBS. I snatched it up but am waiting for the right time. He had to wipe the dust off it. These temps this week might be it. I was sure I would never have it again. But I heard rumors they may bring it back though. Not really a fan of the company but a 15 pack of All Day variety doesn’t last long in the summer when I am working outside or at the lake. about 18 months ago I did a favor for a friend and she was at total wine and got me 12 bottles of different KBS flavors. Totally unnecessary but grateful. I thought it would last me years.

The other night I found a 750 ml bottle of 2018 KBS I had hidden in it basement. That was the last time I ever ordered it ahead of time. It held up. It was 10:30 when I found it… I slept well. IPA’s are my go to everyday drink if I don’t feel like experimenting or don’t want to thjnk about it. If I can find a good lager or Pilsner or wheat I will do it. But it’s still dicey if they can get it right. A fine line between good and Bud light piss.

all I remember about him is he flubbed a fly ball in RF in a game in which Weaver was close to a no hitter or perfect game. I think it was the 8th inning. Not an error but a play that should have been made.

I’ve told plenty of people at baseball games over the years to shut up when they are being vulgar. I’m in section 216 if you want to try me. I’m there most Fridays. Wonder what the right to life people in DC tonight have to say about this? They’re probably drunk right now and sexually harassing the waitresses (and waiters for the closeted ones). That happens whenever those folks show up.
