  1. even with Christians.... which one? There isn't just a Bible. There's a catholic bible that contains books not in a "protestant" Bible. And Protestants can't figure out which translation is best either.
  2. 4 pair of RS25 rocket engines along with 2 boosters (what powered the SLS that took Artemis I to the moon 2 years ago) for your fireplace viewing pleasure. 8.8 million pounds of thrust.
  3. I'd say more likely is he backs off but claims they did something that he made them do but of course nobody will call him on it so they will just say "See, look how tough he is."
  4. I go down there a lot and the RenCen is still such a boondoggle. Just gets in the way. Looks nice from afar in a skyline but you could go a long way removing its footprint both on the river and at the street level. With the Gordie bridge being pedestrian friendly it would be nice to link all that up.
  5. hoping for a better boogeyman? Or at least the ability to be on the boogyeman's team? If such a thing is possible.
  6. I don't see a difference between big government and big oligarchs and tech bros who will control crypto.
  7. It doesn't confirm that at all. He knows the investigation is over because he's not an independent counsel like Kenneth Starr was. They don't have those anymore.
  8. and they'd think Nixon is a RINO.
  9. It makes me think of those digital products, I already forgot their name, that were around a few years ago. The Tigers gave me some as "collectibles" for things like Miggy's 3000th hit. I saw it online, then after that I have no idea where it is or what I can do with it. I have some digital collectable that is of no use to me or anyone else.
  10. Crypto would be normally the kind of thing to set off the rapture/ of the world/Jesus is coming back folks. They talk about mark of the beast and all of that. It fits right in. But since those folks have a new cult leader surrounded by Crypto Bros I guess it’s ok. They will go back to JFK Jr is alive stuff.
  11. I’ve decided to stay on twitter, for sports purposes, because I feel like some people get a valuable kinship with others and without specifically knowing them jn real life I get the sense that the outlet is vey therapeutic and meaningful for them. If my presence can make them feel connected and bring them joy then so be it. Elon isn’t getting rich off my meager engagements but others might be in a different sense. Mental health is important and being connected to like minded people goes a long way. I don’t want politics to ruin that. Your feed is what you make of it.
  12. That was common in Aruba. I mean… it happened to me twice. Once at the resort and off site.
  13. If she truly had some kind of trauma from rape to do such a thing then being in congress in general and hanging out with Matt Gaetz and slobbing alll over DJT throws that theory out the window.
  14. Do men not realize they have been around gay and trans people their whole lives. I went to a small school and found out for years I was changing and showering among two guys who were gay. I don’t know what you do in bathrooms but I am not looking at other people. Twice within the lady year I have been to concerts where women ended up in the men’s room. I survived and they survived.
  15. I’d rather have my kids be in a bathroom with a trans person than a youth pastor.
  16. well if we are being silly then the right wants women to be barefoot, pregnant, in the kitchen, with no abilty to do any financial banking on her own and all special needs people should be locked away in a prison. Men should be able to beat their wives for not having dinner on time. Blacks should be seen, and not heard. (You guys use a different word of course).
  17. the states can't provide wha the federal guarantees ... and that's the federal right to a Free Appropriate Public Eductation. That's handled under the dept. of ed and the office of civil rights. I don't thnk you have a clue what the Dept. of Education does. You base your opinions on boilerplate bullet points that sound good on bumper stickers attached to a jacked up F 350 with 3 dozen Trump flags on it... but in the real word....
  18. it's basically what the conservative movement has always been about. Those at the bottom can screw off and fend for themselves. Let's not help people who require it. Have a disability? **** you. Have autism? **** you. Have an injury or other issue that prevents you from working? **** you. Deaf or blind? **** you. Born to parents who maybe can't read very well or are not tech savy? **** you. Life and society should be tailored to everybody who is at 100% function and **** everybody else, that's too expensive, we can't afford it, i mean we can, but we gotta make sure people get a 18.6% return on their investment instead of 17% and we gotta build all that military equipment.
  19. I never knew that the music for the CBS Special Presentation are spliced elements from Hawaii Five O's Call to Danger.
  20. yet I bet when you try to get help with something you bitch about nobody being around to help and just blame it all in 'incompetence'. But it's different when it's something YOU need. When it's others, they're being lazy because you, Karen, are the epitome of self reliance. Just typical libertarian pie in the sky bull****. Everyone can be one until they need something. This is the kind of thing government should be doing. Providing services.
  21. Today's the anniversary of the JFK assassination so the "common knowledge" around that is proof. Also, too many people think moon landings were fake for me to assume that any kind of volume gives credence to the correctness of something
  22. Wonder what that does to the ethics investigation then? Didn't it stop because he wasn't a member of congress anymore and considered "irrelevant"?
  23. of course FDR was nominated 4 straight times....
  24. I wasn't thinking though in terms of attacks by the dems... just general historical observations. The stain of Trump being Trump clouded some historical things happening that normally would have been fodder for someone like me. First person nominated 3 straight cycles by his party. 2nd person to win non consecutive terms.... that kind of thing. First person born in the 80's nominated for a major ticket (dammit, we skipped the 70s!)... when was the last time we had someone with a beard on a ticket?
  25. Kamala was in a situation that's unheard of in our history. It's also hard for sitting VP's to win. And for the reasons you outlined, Hillary was a pseudo sitting VP given she was a member of the party and a former cabinet official. The only thing the dems could have done better would been for Biden to announce after the 2022 mid terms that he wasn't running again. That proved to be a fatal flaw.
