  1. I feel like people said guys like Cisnero and Funkhouser shouldn't have been traded last year because the Tigers had team control on them. Cash in any reliever you can in a down season.
  2. Re that 1000 ops question, do we have a PA minimum? I found one that did it over 265 minor league plate appearances about 10 years ago. Only hint:
  3. If it was a medical emergency or something that would have garnered sympathy, he would have been put on the bereavement/family emergency list and not the restricted list.
  4. Sure I am. I know from experience most of that crew is pretty clueless and actually detracts from the public discourse on Tigers prospects, and that list strays enough from the consensus without any particular reason behind it. It sucks. Prospects lists off the top of one's head without a ton of in-person scouting time or reasonable and well-filtered discussions with scouts and front office personnel are a waste of time and largely meaningless. By well-filtered, I mean being able to tell when you are being fed fluffy BS, which a lot of the current tigers twitter prospect person struggles with.
  5. I don't have nearly enough information to put one together that would be worth a damn.
  6. Pretty standard on the rehab stints, FWIW. I wouldn't take too much out of that.
  7. Dingler was removed after a HBP yesterday.
  8. Nope. He is already on a league minimum deal with the Dbacks.
  9. Answering my fishing question above... Claiming somebody off waivers who is already on a minimum contract and signing them to a league minimum deal are effectively the same thing when it comes to roster space and salary.
  10. What's the difference?
  11. Wait, we are criticizing them for allowing a pitcher who wasn't exactly blowing down the doors in AAA, who has been slaughtered in the bigs the last two years, to opt out? They went and picked up Sedlock to eat those innings. They pick up Keuchel off the scrap heap and see if he finds something in Toledo. No harm in that, but plugging him in the rotation would be a mistake.
  12. Just FYI, I'm not sure who got a physical, but those that did can't go too far under slot.
  13. Still waiting on Mize to come back from his precautionary stint.
  14. Technically, Mickey Lolich has a better track record than both of them. Let's throw him out there.
  15. Minor League vets aren't supposed to be on the complex league rosters. Any idea how 29-year old Michael De La Cruz is allowed to be on the FCL Tigers roster? It's not a rehab.
  16. A Daniel Warmold spinoff when he's done with What We Do in the Shadows wouldn't suck.
  17. He aborted and decided to stay in Omaha. Had second thoughts.
  18. Tuco is a good call, if they've only gone forward to 2005, that's roughly when he gets out of jail.
  19. Probably a guy on his covid year
  20. There was a throwaway line in Breaking Bad from Saul about how tough it was to get her the money. With as much time as they have devoted to those mundane scenes of the grand daughter and Saul's role in that, I could see it being a big deal. You may be on to something with the Mike/Nacho's Dad symmetry to a similar Saul/Mike's DIL scene.
  21. Some Saul Shenanigans, but I think we see some things from BB get tied up... Brock's poisoning, Mike's grand daughter getting her money. Behind the scenes look at the BB side from Saul's view.
  22. Gene living in her home state can't be a coincidence.
  23. I think the next episode or two are going to be what I expected this show would be when it was announced.
