  1. He replied to my tweet clarify. Anyways, that was his lat, and I always struggle when people try to say the lat is a back muscle and not as shoulder muscle. I mean, it is a back muscle, but it connects to the shoulder.
  2. If you have my sheet bookmarked, yes. The whole system including cuts and 60 day IL spots to get down to 165. I just found out Huira's opt out today and may tweak later.
  3. 2012 and 13, you had some combo of Verlander, Scherzer, Porcello, Sanchez, and Fister with Smyly in reserve. 2014, Fister was traded, and Smyly backfilled until Price was acquired. That core was pretty durable. You had as good of a 1-5 as you will find in baseball history. Yes, they didn't make every start so you may remember some back end guys who filled in, but you are talking about your 7th and 8th guys not your 4th and 5th.
  4. That is not my recollection of 2012-2014. Not at all.
  5. It's kind of a good thing that there's too many options instead of not enough.
  6. I bet we get some cuts tomorrow. This is kinda new since the minor league roster limit clamps are restrictive this year, but I believe tomorrow is the first day minor league players can be put on the 60-day or full season IL's, which opens up minor league roster space. As of now, the Tigers Domestic Reserve list is at it's 175 limit, and players optioned count against it. Players on NRI's already count against it, so if they are shipped out it doesn't count. Otherwise, a player optioned will have to have a corresponding minor league cut.
  7. And putting those front office execs in position to succeed
  8. I mean, I doubt Harris had any say in drafting... say... Carson Rucker.
  9. I doubt Avila had much say in drafting Melton.
  10. Last week, I had a haircut scheduled around lunch time, so went to a local Cuban chain's spot near my barber to pick up lunch. It was in a stripmall. The adjacent store was a crematorium.
  11. Deivi had a 77 OPS+ in his years with the Tigers, which matches Javy.
  12. The 84 Tigers had platoons. Dave Bergman and Darrell Evans weren't allowed in the ballpark when a lefty pitcher was on the mound.
  13. I saw this ad on here, thought it was funny if you dig enough.
  14. By the way, the "Are you better than you were four years ago?" answer changes pretty significantly over the course of this week. March 12, 2020, at this very moment I was at the first round of The Players Championship with my parents and my phone was blowing up with everything being cancelled. The uncertainty of the next few days wasn't awful. Hell, the next month or so with social time on Zoom wasn't awful either. It's around May when people started doing things socially and left responsible people behind when things went to ****.

  17. Quick search of Trump's EO's and searching "Aero" "aviation" doesn't really yield much. I'm not saying I didn't miss it, and far be it from me to doubt this, but it'd be better if this had a little more meet behind it and validation before being shared.
  18. Wasn't sure what thread to put this in, but I saw some buzz about a panel the founders of BP are doing and decided to find their first article posted on their website. At least the first one available on the website today. The founders "founded" the company the year before, and the author in this case wasn't among the five. Having said that, it has several ties to long-running inside jokes and topics here. Let me share: https://www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article/3/interview-with-frank-catalanotto/ Here we have... Keith Law pumping up a Tigers prospect. A Tigers prospect Keith Law calling it the Rule V draft. Anyways, 27+ years ago, I thought that was funny.
  19. It made WAPO, but still cites Katz. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/03/09/fact-check-katie-britt-sex-trafficking/
  20. There will be some, but there will be fewer. My brothers and I are going to put the full court press on our dad to join the Biden train instead of writing in Haley/Kasich.
  21. Neither was Saddam, but he still slipped through
  22. My immediate family hasn't been splintered. I have cousins/aunt/uncle that live close to me that have been splintered by it, particularly COVID, but we are mending those fences ever-so-slowly. I've noticed it quite a bit when trying to put a golf foursome together. Granted, some people are just tougher to get on the course due to growing families, but there's 1-2 people in my former group who kinda took my place when I wasn't too willing to venture out in those times and they don't want to play with me, so I'm not really invited along, and when I initiate it's tough. Stuff like that... This comment was from March 5, 2020. My next seven weekends at this point were filled with trips, multiple social gatherings. That was the norm from roughly 2010 until 2020. It's kiiiiinda true now, actually, but the reason one of those weeks was shot was my grandmother's 100th birthday. She's gone now. I have another family member potentially dealing with dementia likely accelerated by shutdowns. Life isn't better now than it was four years ago, but it is better than three years ago.
