  1. It will go down to 37 once Rogers is swapped in for Nido. Cross that bridge when you get there, but Meadows seems primed to take one back when his day comes. Maybe a pitcher like Balazovich or Enns comes up at some point. Maybe a waiver claim... don't have to fill it right away.
  2. Vierling is already counting against it.
  3. Benetti and Dirks are peak TV broadcasting. 10/10, no notes.
  4. Once again, Montero is lined up to be on full rest for a Wednesday doubleheader.
  5. Wanna talk about weird? Insulting and celebrating the demise of all hard working federal employees on the other board. That's weird, and i stand by my response, and regret that I peaked behind the ignore shield here.
  6. I count eight 1st rounders and only one 2nd rounder. 1st: Baez, Flaherty, Greene, Jobe, Jung, Mize, Sweeney, Torkelson, (Lange, Madden IL) 2nd: Dingler, (Meadows IL) Others throughout the system: 1st: Clark, Manning, Rainer, McGonigle 2nd: Anderson, Baddoo, Dingler, Graham, Hall, Jones, Pacheco, Scheffelbein, Unroe, (Cabrera restricted list)
  7. She is such a bad writer, and probably just lifted that from McCosky.
  8. Good interview with Brebbia talking about his "Spreadies" https://blogs.fangraphs.com/effectively-wild-episode-2316-brebbia-is-the-soul-of-wit/
  9. Newsweek has really really fallen off a cliff, is what I make of it. Miller's on the IL. No idea the extent of the injury, but it's worth noting.
  10. McKinstry looks more and more like the communist Elaine dated by the day.
  11. The S stands for Simple. SRS has limited predictive value.
  12. BPA. No need to stray from that out of need.
  13. Not sure how predictive the SRS method is. This doesn't pass the smell test.
  14. Joe Sheehan had an Immaculate Grid podcast a couple years ago where he and a cohost talked through their Immaculate Grid, and one of them using Versailles in a Twins/MVP square was where I learned of him.
  15. Ever since I saw this...
  16. Feed flickering for anybody else or is it my TV?
  17. Carlos Guzman hit 6-year free agency after 2023, and has been bouncing between AA and AAA for the Mets since last year.
  18. What do you mean comes off the IL 5/8? He comes off when he's healthy. There's no fixed date.

  20. I got some incomplete info on some minor league deals... Opt Outs: Dietrich Enns: 7/1, 7/20, 8/15 Ricky Vanasco: 7/15, 8/15 Ryan Miller: 7/1 (Upward Mobility) Enns also has a clause that if he is on the major league season at season's end, he's a free agent with a $3M club option. I don't have info on Balazovic, Gamel, Flores, Serven, Jones, Madris, or Gage. Chafin's opt-outs are defined by the CBA: May 1 and June 1.
  21. If they went Jobe and Mize tomorrow, who would start next Thursday?
  22. The Tigers have gotten really good at syncing their 6th starter up with double headers. Starting Montero Monday was a stroke of genius.
  23. Bailey Horn was sent down yesterday per the transaction logs. Chafin time? Balazovic?
  24. Found one: Bret De Geus in 2021 was claimed off waivers before he could be returned.
  25. I misunderstood what you meant. I thought you said the tigers hadn't had anybody returned lately. I can dig up examples of waiver claims. Off the top of my head Spurling was acquired in spring training.
