This is the snippet in the CBA that applies to Chafin. Tomorrow is the Fourth Day Prior. He would have requested his release yesterday.
-
Should have a resolution on Chafin by tomorrow, per the CBA.

Our alumni group had a woman speak several years ago who was one of the people sent to that remote mountain in Hawaii for a year to simulate the psychological toll this will take on people. At the time it sounded like we are a ways away from just that piece of the puzzle.

I thought Severance stuck the landing for this season pretty well.
-
Listening to Avila now. Interesting discussion on transitioning the front office toward the analytic age.
-
Haven't listened yet, but Tony Paul dropped a 1+ hr podcast interview with Al Avila that appeared to be pretty revealing.
-
Zach Swanson to the full season IL, which means he is out for the year. I hadn't seen an injury reported yet.
-
In fairness to Shep, if you parse his tweet. I believe him when he says Gibby prepares better than anybody he's worked with... when you realize they saddled him with Morris and Monroe, that is undoubtedly true.

Wasn't really trying to make a joke. Except for the fun money I have to the side to save for a second house, I'm not touching anything I have invested for 17-20 years, so it will rebound. If I was pushing retirement age, I probably would have moved a bunch more into money markets than planned back in early January...

I have a feeling there will be lagging turbulence internationally, though..
-
I've had about 10% of my HSA investments in VTIAX for a while now. It's doing well. I'm probably not going to buy high on international any more than normal right now, but can understand somebody 20 or so years older than me wanting to stay out of US Stocks for a bit.

They don't even care about saving money, because they aren't. They care about skimming off the top.

Agreed, but to me it suggests Jung may be the odd man out

Baez taking reps at 3B is iiiiinteresting.

My brother lives in Cincy and sent me this text this morning. "Reading about JD Vance taking his daughter on a walk around his Cincinnati neighborhood and getting confronted by protestors in infuriating. The protest was at the corner of Torrence and Columbia Parkway. Colombia Parkway is basically a freeway and he knew full well a protest was going on there. If this did actually happen, he knowingly walked a 3 year-old to a confusing freeway intersection occupied by a crowd that is hostile toward him."

It's a problem that I have him on ignore, and I'm probably not alone. The ignorant mocking of federal employees a couple weeks ago was the coup de gras.

Why had I never heard anything about "DEI" until a couple years ago? Just pulled this up on Google Trends. Cut it off in October to cut off some post-election mentions of it. A lot of the searches in the mid 2000's were related to Mater Dei High School.
