In 8 years, Yzerman has struggled to build a team that even makes the playoffs. Not trading draft picks hasn't produced a winning team. It just seems like 8 years should be long enough to build a team that should make a deep playoff run. Yes, he was left a bad organization. But between trades, drafts and FA signings, we should have a playoff team. How much longer does Stevie get? I'm a big Yzerman fan but I'm starting to lose patience.

I don't agree. Winning a division should get a team a playoff spot. Should it be a home game? No, I could see that change. Re-seed all teams before the playoffs, the teams with the better records should all have a home playoff game.

The two rule changes i would love to see are; Delay of game procedure. Make it more like the NBA, a strict clock-hitting-zero rule. Tush push rule. I'm not sure how to change it but pushing players from behind should be stopped before someone gets seriously hurt.

I worry about KC more than I do Cleveland. The Twins or WSox? Not so much. But it looks like the Tigers have a very good pitching staff. The experience the BP guys got last year is a real advantage. But 2 regulars missing to start the season and 3 or 4 players playing out of position (or Keith, learning a new position) is a bit scary.

This Tiger team would be that much better with an effective Tork. We need his RH bat hitting for power. But, the biggest problem, IMO, is the loss of Meadows. The Tigers were 54-28 with him in the line-up in 2024. Replacing his defense isn't possible.
