If the Tigers ever went away from Carp or Perez in RF, I would rather see Vierling out there. He seems to give us the best defense. Perez gets me nervous, a collision waiting to happen. And Carp tries hard but it seems like he takes bad routes and first steps to the ball. And Vierling seems to be hitting pretty good, use Carp as DH and sit Perez. He may be a switch hitter but he doesn't.....hit

A bit...Holton's ERA is inflated at 4.50. But Hurter has an acceptable 2.45 ERA. Vest is/was at 6.75 coming into today, down to 6.17. Not something we want to see in an important setup man.

Tork and Riley...the problem with them is consistency. They both have long extended cold spells that makes fans want to send them to Toledo. They're both hitting right now but it's our pitching thats letting us down....big time. As for trading either of them? We probably couldn't get much for either...if Harris was ever capable making a blockbuster trade. Most of his trades hsve been pretty insignificant.

The thing about Tork's home runs is they aren't just long lazy fly balls. They're line shot missiles that get out in a hurry...they really remind me of Gary Sheffield home run shots
