I went to his wikipedia and noticed it was very sanitized. There are several people working on his behalf in the edit discussion trying to keep the allegations off the page. It was interesting to me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Jeff_Smith_(chef) I remember liking the show a lot - I still make a curry omelette the way he taught me to to this day - and then came the accusations of “eat you like a sugar cookie” and at the time it sounded credible. It was at least presented as such and if it wasn’t credible, this is a terrible travesty. But seven accusations is an awful lot of accusations. I don’t know how someone’s sense of “warmth“ could be misinterpreted so widely and so frequently. And the program is not being streamed by any major outlet, but looks like it’s on a subscription basis only through the producers themselves. I wonder if major carriers consider the documentary series itself to be kind of legal hot potato and they’re staying away from it. Quote

He got in a little trouble for something similar, didn't he? Legal issues Jones's photo from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's sex offender registry Child sexual abuse materials Jones was arrested in November 2002 for possession of child sexual abuse material and soliciting a 14-year-old boy to produce sexually explicit images between September 2000 to May 2001.[36][37][38] Jones photographed the child, and paid him to pose nude on multiple occasions wearing a cowboy hat, with stuffed animals, and dressed as a Native American.[39] Jones surrendered himself and was released on bond prior to arraignment.[40] Jones initially pleaded not guilty to the possession charge[41] and no contest to a charge of soliciting a minor. The victim initiated a separate civil action against Jones seeking damages and compensation.[42] The misdemeanor charge of possession of child pornography was dropped following the no-contest plea.[43] His attorney emphasized that there was no allegation of improper physical contact. His punishment was five years' probation and the requirement to register as a sex offender for life.[44][45] Jones is listed in sex offender registries in California[46] and Florida.[47] He was also required to undergo 1 year psychological counseling and 2 years of drug and alcohol abuse counseling, and prohibited from possessing any pornography.[48] Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Seems like there are so many of these creeps around now, but it's probably no different than it used to be - the internet just makes it easier for them. I think in the future they are going to be able to use AI to remove people from old movies. Like in Field Of Dreams, instead of Timothy Busfield trying to take Ray's farm it's gonna be James Franco...........oh wait..........Ezra Mill........oh wait.........well, they'll find someone to superimpose into the movie and you won't even be able to tell. In Field Of Dreams he does reach for Ray's daughter a little too quickly. Like, why is Uncle Pervy telling the child to shut up, anyway? Quote
