What's the single most dramatic Home Run in baseball history?

1960 World Series Bill Mazeroski?

1993 World Series Joe Carter?

1951 Bobby Thompson Pennant Clincher?

1974 Henry Aaron besting The Babe?

1988 Kirk Gimpy Gibson's Game 1 winner?

1975  Carlton Fisk waving it fair in Game 6?

1977  Reggie's third in Game 6 of the Series?

The most dramatic of those - in my opinion, was Mazeroski because it was Game 7.      The most exciting was Fisk because of the shot of him waving it fair.   The most important was Henry Aaron breaking that record under countless threats on his life.     Bobby Thompson has the best announcer call (but the Giants wee stealing signs, right?)

What about Tiger home runs?

I think there is one that is miles above the others

Game 5 1984 World Series, 8th inning.   Not the game winner, by the way (many think it was), it just put the game out of reach.  (And I do want to say thank you Vin Scully for keeping your mouth shut and letting the picture tell the story, that was classy and professional choice to not make it about himself).

But there are some other moments for me.............

Magglio sending the long-suffering Tigers to the World Series in 2006 is up there in 2nd  (watching it now, welling up a bit, must be allergies)

Others that come to mind

Rob Fick's Grand Slam in the Tigers last at bat at Tiger Stadium.   I was there.  What a moment.   The game didn't mean anything.  The Hell it didn't.

J.D. Martinez return from the Injured List off of Chris Sale.   Because **** CHRIS SALE.

Dmitri's 3 on Opening Day were fun.

In 1945, the Tigers had a makeup doubleheader in St. Louis against the Browns. Only 5,000 people showed up. The Tigers had a 1 game lead over Washington and Washington had already finished their season. So the Tigers needed to win at least one game of the doubleheader to win the AL pennant; otherwise there would be a tiebreaking playoff. The Tigers entered the top of the 9th trailing 3-2 but a 1-out Hank Greenberg grand slam gave the Tigers a 6-3 lead. The Browns were retired in order in the bottom of the 9th and the Tigers won the pennant. The second game of the doubleheader was now unnecessary and was not played.
