I wonder if going on the road might actually calm the offense down? I would imagine there's an unconscious pressure to deliver big in front of a packed, crazy home stadium crowd that might result in gripping the proverbial club to tightly.

The Bears starters seem to count.

the tackles are actually "ok."  wright was pretty good last year.  the interior was another story.  former lions ling snapper scott daly was just promoted from the practice squad to be backup center because their starter is now out for the season.

houston does have a fearsome pass rush, so i would cut them a little slack there.  and williams is a roomie who holds onto the ball too long.  that said, they were overwhelmed yesterday.  shades on the lions 2023 when james houston had his big game against the bears.

williams really dis get crushed yesterday, it was painful.

Arizona is pretty good on offense. Rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. can be a handful. And Murray is scary when he scrambles. Maybe Hutch needs to introduce himself, up close and personal? 😅😅

Scrambling scares me. The DL seems to be getting more pressure, but many they left Mayfield scramble so much last week.

And he's not even known for his scrambling ability. We'll see how the Lions D does against a real mobile QB.

Also, what was the exact play it situation that has caused Iffy to miss multiple weeks? Was it something that occurred during training camp?

They’ve never said. Campbell said in camp that it’s something that’s been lingering for a while and sometimes flares up. They called it an Achilles injury before they called it an Ankle injury. I think it’s probably the Achilles tendinitis that CMC has that seems to be popular around the league.

If it was Ben Johnson’s house…

Anyway, I don’t see much going well in Arizona.  Lions don’t do well there. The jersey change has messed with the mojo and the we still have the coordinators that we have.

Cardinals 31, Lions 17.  Offensive woes continue on the back of questionable play calling. Lions punt on their first two drives, cardinals score on their first two and the 14-0 deficit is never challenged.

Through the first possessions of 2 games, the lions have ran 4 plays. A 3 and out and an interception.  That’s all you need to know about the coaching.  Those are supposed to be the easiest drives, they are scripted.

The Lions will get their running game going in this one.  Then we will utilize Laporta for the first time once the LB's get sucked in.  Then in the 4th quarter it's bully ball as we milk the clock for the win.

The Lions need to get used to being the hunted instead of being the hunter. Every opponent is using the Lions as a litmus test. Can the Lions contain Murray? If not, we'll lose. Hopefully, the Lions worked all week on their red zone offense. Going 1 for 7, with multiple red zone turnovers isn't a winning recipe. And maybe cover Harrison Jr.?

This means there’s no need to go to full hater on every bad play since the result is expected.
