we were defining low information voters.  If you say they don't matter well, Trump is President now.

I'm not so sure we can attribute that to airport viewers of CNN.

exclusively...they were all wearing tube tops and daisy dukes even if not appropriate to their body shape or age for the females and dickees coveralls or wife beater shirts for the men and eating elephant ears they inexplicably got at the County Fair that was going on right by the airport.  They had a hard cover copy of JD Vance's Hillbilly Elegy under their arms and at least 10 kids in tow.

One thing about the Detroit area is that you never know what is going on from the exterior.   I find this to be more the case than other metros i visit.

Some very MAGA looking types who have family genetic disposition to the democrat party and some very left-coded looking people who seem to have fallen for the cult.

My father is white, male, older boomer, high school education, factory worker, listens to country music, lives in Macomb County, and hates Trump and never voted Republican. He fits the stereotype of a MAGA voter to a tee. The one exception is he doesn’t watch Fox News.

Most of his union buddies voted for Trump.

Yeah, I know from my own experience that lots of rank-and-file UAW are right wing.

My dad’s like yours, though. Lots of “MAGA-coded” characteristics but he has never voted for Trump or any Republican that I know of. And, lo and behold, he doesn’t watch Fox News or listen to RW radio.

He’s also a Vietnam vet with decidedly non-warm-‘n’-fuzzy memories of his service, which may factor into things although I couldn’t tell you that for certain.

Trump freeing up NVIDIA to go hog wild selling chips to China is a much much much bigger deal than the back story news it has been.

The Trump fam just do not care about anything but themselves.

“In 2023, Secretary of State Antony Blinken ordered the typeface change to Calibri to improve accessibility for readers with disabilities, such as low vision and dyslexia, and people who use assistive technologies, such as screen readers.

While this is very low on the list of bad things these douches have done, it’s just emblematic of where the pettiness and gross nature of them is the main feature.

Opening paragraphs of Heather Cox Ricardson’s 12/9/25 FB synopsis. A very good read today.  Do yourself a favor and check out her posts & live feeds either on Facebook, or elsewhere.  Definitely take the time to read the rest of her writings for Tuesday, December 9.

If Rubio hadn't said anything and it was just reported, I would have taken it as a swipe at Microsoft. 😄

I wonder if Twitter is going to make everyone use Times New Roman in its app now

WASHINGTON, Dec 9 (Reuters) - Jack Smith, the former U.S. Justice Department special counsel who prosecuted Republican President Donald Trump following his first term in the White House, is teaming up with three other ex-prosecutors ‌to launch a new law firm.

Its kind of like when Jon Snow and friends met up with the Brotherhood without Banners and set forth to capture a wight.  Or maybe its the Travelling Wilburies.
