Because the font was changed to help people with accessibility deficits read government documents, my guess is that they are trying to keep as many people from being able to read what it is they are putting out as much as possible.

actually it can because they throw away all the old stationery, reprint all the placards on the walls, all the printed and posted matter, etc. But the joke is that it's just as wasteful to switch back again once a change was complete..

I don't think it's that.... I think they're just being assholes in general.  "They" did something different so we have to change it back because whatever reason they had for doing it was "woke".

I mean, yeah, they are being assholes in general, but that doesn't mean that's the only reason they're doing it.

They do have an interest in keeping as many people as possible from seeing what they are doing—witness their blocking of government reports on jobs and inflation—so I think my little hypothesis holds water.
