smr-nj Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago If these media/network companies acquiesce because it’s easier to do than pushing back, it becomes every viewer’s responsibility to boycott every damn product that is advertised on that network. This means me. This means you. Quote

I agree to this action, but in addition, I think we can cease to be consumers of whatever Products/Companies are advertising on their networks. Harder to do, perhaps, but probably more impactful. 2 Quote

This means me. This means you. yeah - he absolutely no authority to do this. And I would guess the networks will push back, not out of principle, but because they know no-body wants to watch Army-Navy and they don't want to lose the revenue. Quote

There’s a corner lot house we run by with a nice pool and on their fence around the pool they have a sign listing all the things they proudly do, which are things nobody ever told them they could no longer do. This means me. This means you. They acquiesce because they know that if they don’t, the government will use as much time and public treasure as they want to make them pay by bleeding them out in court, mobilizing White House cabinet PR and their RWM running dogs in a unified effort against them, doxxing specific executives and talent in tweets to make them targets for motivated red hats, and probably any number of things I’m not thinking of now. Of course, the government would almost certainly eventually do all this anyway, but the media company in question would be gambling that the hammer never comes down or, failing that, at least get their beds sufficiently feathered in advance of being pressured (i.e., practically forced) to sell off to Trump comrades, as Paramount had to. I’m definitely not saying it’s right. Edited 4 hours ago by chasfh Quote
