Obama deported many more than Trump has but he wrnt after criminals. He also didnt spend billions of dollars doing it. And...he didnt totally harass Americans while he had it done. So, once again, Obama was much better than Trump;

I read it as "it's okay for me to support a regime that protects pedophiles and persecutes immigrants from certain places, because an ancestor of mine was a Holocaust survivor." Which I'm guessing is part of your point.

Point is that being Jewish quislings helping the Nazi regime early on didn’t help them survive. To the fascists, your worth starts with your bloodline. After that, your actions can put you on the outs, but without the proper bloodline, nothing puts you on the inside, no matter how loud or proud or Trumpy your words or actions might be. We have all seen how Trump himself turned on people who initially tried to appease him with their Trumpiness, but had the temerity to share one rogue word or action.

Also, remember this: America is the home of the one-drop rule. Not even the German Nazis did that. So no matter how far they go back, they find even a drop of “bad” in your bloodline, you’re out.

religion? do you think they asked if they were practicing or not in the roundups in Germany or Armenia or Rwanda? The fascists don't care about what your religion is or whether you practice it, and the American Christian right wingers don't care what you are either if you are anything outside their own cult (theirs being one of the most excluding theologies out there). Religion is never more than a convenient construct to define what groups will be the targets for redirecting the anger of the masses in a failing society. It's all about picking a target that is easy to identify, the 'why'  of that identification is purely incidental. All that matters is that there is an elite who needs to deflect from their own corruption and greed, an intellectually lazy or economically exhausted mass who'd rather not be reminded about their own failures, and a set of identifiable targets the elites can persuade the masses are the cause of their problems. Religion never matters in and of itself. It's nothing more than the sieve.
