There's a local neighborhood app called NextDoor. Political talk is kinda frowned upon, it leads to huge flame wars. I went on there today and somebody posted a link to all of the "No King Rallies" in Michigan tomorrow. I didn't count them but there was at least a dozen. They're happening all over the country. We'll see if the media covers them. And it was a surprise, a hundred responses and no MAGA. Usually they come out of the woodwork, thus the flame wars. 😆

There is some stuff going on out there. I've been a member (basically passive) of the ACLU for years, this is the first year I've ever gotten an invitation to go get trained as an activist.

I looked into a rally near me and it appears to be a gathering at the corner of an intersection.  I support the cause but I vowed long ago to never be a sign carrying roadside picketor.   I can’t stand those people.

I don’t know how things are going to play out today.  It could go many ways.  Hopefully everything is peaceful. 

What I am 100% positive is that Trump will tell us that his parade was the greatest parade in the history of parades and of course lie about how many people actually showed up.

I’ve read that he’s said he will be there for the whole thing… I don’t know what the timeframe is for the length of the parade, but if the weather turns nasty, and if he’s watching from an area that can’t 100% prevent any precipitation, I think he’ll leave.

Can’t risk messing his hair or washing off his makeup.

If those civilian bosses have reason to believe that advice has a partisan bias, the result could be bloody disaster.

If Trump really supported the troops, he’d help them do their jobs and reintegrate back into civilian life when their service is over. But as his parade so obviously demonstrates, he’s really only interested in the troops supporting him.
