If 3 people show up for his parade and there's heavy rain, the next day he'll say 15 million people were there, the weather was beautiful and the parade was a huge success. And his base will eat it up and insist he's right. 1 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted yesterday at 03:06 AM Posted yesterday at 03:06 AM Pause agricultural, and hospitality. OK, you just took maybe 7 of the supposedly 11 million undocumenteds off the table. Now Miller will have to deport every roofer and carpenter in America to make his target. Quote

Yeah, and if a few thousand American citizens get swept up, oh well. They shoulda been hiding in a basement, or an attic. Quote

We almost never hear helicopters around here, unless there’s some car crash or something nearby and a TV station sends a copter to cover it. But we’ve been hearing maybe half a dozen helicopter patrolling overhead every night pretty much on the regular. It’s happening right now. They are definitely patrolling something. They're coming to get you, you commie! 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted yesterday at 03:17 AM Posted yesterday at 03:17 AM There's a local neighborhood app called NextDoor. Political talk is kinda frowned upon, it leads to huge flame wars. I went on there today and somebody posted a link to all of the "No King Rallies" in Michigan tomorrow. I didn't count them but there was at least a dozen. They're happening all over the country. We'll see if the media covers them. And it was a surprise, a hundred responses and no MAGA. Usually they come out of the woodwork, thus the flame wars. 😆 1 Quote

I'm sure there was lobbying involved by various industries, but it's also a monumental ****up on their part regardless Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted yesterday at 06:21 AM Posted yesterday at 06:21 AM For those interested in going to a No Kings rally in Michigan here are all the communities where one is being held. Most of them are starting around 1pm, but check your local one to confirm the start time. Quote

How evil am I to wish for a whole day of cold, wind driven rain tomorrow? There's a chance of rain here, but only for the morning.... We just got our Softball all-star tournament cancelled due to rain which means I can spend the day playing Baldur's Gate and MLB-the Show and not watching parents lose their minds at umpires. 2 1 Quote
Hongbit Posted yesterday at 11:40 AM Posted yesterday at 11:40 AM I looked into a rally near me and it appears to be a gathering at the corner of an intersection. I support the cause but I vowed long ago to never be a sign carrying roadside picketor. I can’t stand those people. 1 Quote
romad1 Posted yesterday at 11:43 AM Posted yesterday at 11:43 AM https://bsky.app/profile/missmouse.bsky.social/post/3lrjml4dp5s2w From a dear comrade who was kind enough to let me share their video. Veterans stage a sit-in on the US Capitol steps and say, “Military off our streets!” Hell yeah! Quote

Hongbit Posted yesterday at 11:55 AM Posted yesterday at 11:55 AM I don’t know how things are going to play out today. It could go many ways. Hopefully everything is peaceful. What I am 100% positive is that Trump will tell us that his parade was the greatest parade in the history of parades and of course lie about how many people actually showed up. Quote
smr-nj Posted yesterday at 12:25 PM Posted yesterday at 12:25 PM I’ve read that he’s said he will be there for the whole thing… I don’t know what the timeframe is for the length of the parade, but if the weather turns nasty, and if he’s watching from an area that can’t 100% prevent any precipitation, I think he’ll leave. Can’t risk messing his hair or washing off his makeup. Quote

People seem unhappy with the craziness of the horrible administration. Quote

CMRivdogs Posted yesterday at 01:00 PM Posted yesterday at 01:00 PM From the Bullwerk The final risk to the military is that it won’t be taken seriously because service members are not viewed as public servants. At the lowest levels, this can look like the experience of Vietnam veterans, who weren’t given the support they needed to reintegrate back into civilian life. All of society benefits when veterans bring their strengths back home with them—and all of society sufferswhen they’re left to deal with their problems on their own. At the highest levels, senior military leaders have to be confident that their civilian bosses will consider their best professional advice. If those civilian bosses have reason to believe that advice has a partisan bias, the result could be bloody disaster. If Trump really supported the troops, he’d help them do their jobs and reintegrate back into civilian life when their service is over. But as his parade so obviously demonstrates, he’s really only interested in the troops supporting him. https://www.thebulwark.com/p/the-real-costs-of-trump-parade?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email 1 Quote
CMRivdogs Posted yesterday at 01:07 PM Posted yesterday at 01:07 PM If we were to wander out today I would need to wear my Madison T-Shirt “ ”If men were angels…” It really needs to add the second part of the quote… ”If angels were men….” Quote

CMRivdogs Posted yesterday at 01:48 PM Posted yesterday at 01:48 PM I keep asking this, yet MAGA seem too chicken to come to the forum with an answer 1 Quote
