The people in his cabinet can’t possibly be this dumb, can they?

LOL - Solar is actually a pretty good match with one of the largest draws on the grid - Air Conditioning.

Can one of our MAGA apologizers/explainers actually give credible reasons why solar and wind farms are terrible. I've seen massive wind farms the past couple of weeks traveling back roads from Ohio to Montana. There seems to be nothing wrong with these things that I know. Farmers get compensated for land and can continue to grow crops from what I've seen.

Same with solar. It seems a lot of the solar farms basically replace corn, wheat or soybean fields with what seems to be a credible income.

In other words it's all a big lie thanks to big dirty unhealthy coal. I lived with coal furnaces as a youngster. Paying the price today.

The cynic in me suspects that certain donors are used to making money from oil, coal, etc, and haven't yet figured out how to continue making money with renewables.

I wonder which HGTV show will take on renovating the White House after this administration-Maybe Ugliest House in America or Help I Wrecked my House?

Who the heck is Sydney Sweeney and why am I supposed to be outraged by a Jean commercial I've never seen?

In this morning's new episode of the "Ruthless" podcast, VP JD Vance claimed that "the Democrats" are saying that "everybody who thinks Sydney Sweeney is attractive is a Nazi. That appears to be their actual strategy."

I think the outrage over that ad is dumb and one reason why dems struggle.  Not the democratic party per se and the politicians, but they get lumped in with the people who complain about stuff like that.  It's just an ad and a play on words.  That's it.  There's no conspiracy.  When I was in high school I had to listen to the religious people tell me about hidden messages in Bugle Boy Jeans and Proctor and Gamble logos, etc.   This is the same thing. Quit making things out to be bigger than they are.

The Democrats have said no such thing and once again a culture war is manufactured.

To Oblong's point, it works.

For what it's worth, the only reason I've heard about the outrage over the ad is because of people complaining about the outrage over the ad.

I don't claim to be the most up-to-date person on pop culture, but I get the sense that this is a case of a small non-representative  amount of outrage being blown up into something bigger by people on the right and the Nate Silver / Matt Yglesias types who act like Twitter is real life.

So having said all of that, what exactly am I supposed to do about it? What steps can I, person who isn't raging over Sydney Sweeney and hadn't heard about said controversy until RW influencers lost their **** about it, supposed to do to ensure other people don't react to said things?
