Mr.TaterSalad Posted Saturday at 08:07 PM Posted Saturday at 08:07 PM Third and long and they check it underneath again. Moore needs to get better WR recruits and a creative OC next season or he's done. 1 Quote
romad1 Posted Saturday at 08:35 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:35 PM That sucked. We need more talent at WR. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted Saturday at 09:19 PM Posted Saturday at 09:19 PM Disappointed but not surprised. Beating Ohio isnt easy, I'm just glad we beat them the last few years. This was their first win against us since 2019. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted Saturday at 10:35 PM Posted Saturday at 10:35 PM Offense looked identical to last year. Rushing wasn’t good but got a few plays. Took advantage of one turnover, compared to two last year. Passing was nonexistent. Defense was worse than last year, in part due to Ohio State having an actual game plan. But ultimately nobody paid $10MM for this performance. Underwood has to be so much better. Quote
TP_Fan Posted Saturday at 11:09 PM Posted Saturday at 11:09 PM It’s hard to put it on the QB when the coaches set him up to fail. Quote
buddha Posted yesterday at 02:56 AM Posted yesterday at 02:56 AM michigan played three good teams all year and got dominated by each of them. they were extremely lucky to play such an easy schedule or they would have seen a repeat of last year. or worse. next year they wont be so lucky. and they are likely to lose a lot of their best players on defense, a defense that was poor against any offense with a pulse. ive never been a fan of sherrone moore. he was too inexperienced to get this job and lucked into it by being able to hang around jim harbaugh for a few years and be in the right place at a time when michigan had no viable alternatives. but he's shown nothing to indicate he can be the leader of an elite program. next year is likely going to be another 3-4 loss season. it will be the year after that when moore coaches for his job. if they arent in the playoff mix in 2 years, he'll likely be fired. a below .500 record next year (and with their schedule, its possible: osu, oregon, oklahoma, penn state, and indiana all on the sked) is on the table. i know there was going to be some rebuilding after harbaugh left town, but they'll need to show some progress next year for me to believe he can build a real program and not just a mediocre one. step one: fire wink and hire a good college defensive coordinator. Either they don't have the coaching to develop what is there or they over recruited a bust. Bad look either way. Quote

Deleterious Posted yesterday at 03:14 AM Posted yesterday at 03:14 AM They have to get a QB in the portal. You can't close your eyes and hope Underwood improves. The competition will be good for him, and it will be nice to have options if he falters. Of course, getting anyone worth a damn will be almost impossible, since Underwood will get more than his fair share of chances to keep his job. Quote

romad1 Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago If they had had Justice Haynes in the OSU game i don't know if would have seen a different outcome but I think it likely we would have scored a TD or two. We can see the quality gap. OSU can pass and defend and we were lacking on the DL against elite opponents. Wink may have been the issue with the D. Plenty of people who I tend to trust were frustrated as hell with his defenses. On offense: Marsh is the truth when it comes to WR and Mcculley was pretty good and a decent B1G mid-tier WR. The TEs were ok but I think Marlin Klein was a huge drop in talent from Colston Loveland. They need to recruit OSU/Indiana-style awesome WRs to go with the Hiter and Haynes RB recruitments/transfers. Underwood was and is on the same track as JJ McCarthy in a true freshman year. I think the jump between first and second year will be enormous for him. JB Brown needs to be moved to a different position and they need to bring in a superstar ST coordinator to make that a weapon again like it was under Harbaugh's kid Jay. Quote

romad1 Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago Hausman missed on Saturday? I think the young man had best be thinking of a career path that doesn't include the NFL if he's going to ditch on his team for whatever reason. The people who might draft a LB won't do that in the top 3 rounds if they can't rely on him to play in critical games. Quote
