Is Indiana better than Ohio State?

I don't really think Ohio State has been tested this year.   Texas has been their only real test this year - and they really didn't blow them away at home.

Its possible that Indiana is better than Ohio State.  Its possible 2025 Ohio State might be better than 2024 Ohio State.  Its possible both of those sentences are true.

I'm not saying I called it or anything, but I was open to the possibility of it.

Ryan Day coaching scared...again

There were some bad game management calls.  The end of the 1st half cautiousness was dumb.  I thought they should have gone for the FG inside the 5 when the ultimately turned the ball over.  There didn't seem to be enough misdirection plays or a jet sweep here or there or something like that to laterally create gaps.  Nothing to tight ends until the 2nd half.

Defense was still there for the most part.

Football coaches relish possession at the end of the 1st half and receiving the ball to start the 2nd.  Ohio State was shut out there.  Again, playing conservatively to end the 1st was dumb.

But credit to Indiana and Cignetti.  Everybodu laughed at him when he took the job and called out Michigan and Ohio State and Penn State and said Indiana was coming for them.  And here we are two seasons later.

Indiana is obviously a well-coached team.  OSU receivers as usual looked like men vs boys against their DBs but for whatever reason, Indiana got to Sayin and slowed that running game.

This outcome could have been Michigan's fate in 2021-2023 in the B1G Championship because once you play your rival and you go into the championship game without as much prep the game plan can be a little lacking.

I know all you scUM fans are so happy that tOSU lost. I guess that’s to be expected when your team had to cheat to win a natty, whine like babies to split the last one and, before that, suffer through your favorite coach losing the majority of his bowl games.

but yeah, lol Ohio state.

It has nothing to do with OSU for me.

I'm 51 years old and up until the last year or two I've never watched an Indiana game that didn't involve Michigan because they were so bad. So it's cool seeing them win the Big Ten and getting the #1 playoff seed.

Exactly. This gives a glimmer of hope to every Minnesota, Rutgers, Kansas, Wake Forest, and NC State fan out there. And more. College football may be evolving fast but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible for your team to succeed.
