monkeytargets39 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Bochy out in Texas, although I think that was as much his decision as anything Quote

Yes, that is a valid flip side. She was simply an embarrassment. She might even be a key reason MLB so strictly vets prospective owners nowadays. Quote

Tiger337 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 My first fantasy team was called Schotts Stops. It was not my idea. A woman I knew was in a fantasy league at work and she asked me if I would draft the rest of her team for her in a keeper league. Karen's only rule was I could not trade Dennis Eckersley. I took over the team and was doing pretty well in the league but this was 1994, so you know how that turned out. By the way, if Karen knew what kind of person Schotts was, she would not have named the team after her. The next season I got my own team in Bill James Fantasy Baseball. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 1 Author Posted October 1 Angels fired Ron Washington. Man, he's gonna miss out next year when Anthony Rendon comes back and plays with unbridled joy for the game. Is Rendon the worst contract in baseball history? I'd say Jordan Zimmermann is up there, but at least that guy TRIED to play. Quote

It may be sacrilege to say but those guys had 0 WAR. Miggy had negative -2.2 WAR through the final 7 years his extension. He would have had a higher career WAR if he retired after his age 33 season. Most of those were predictable due to injury history, body type or in Hamilton's case a drug problem. The only one that seemed like it might be a good idea at the time was Rendon. Quote
