Didn’t see it mentioned anywhere:

Apparently Emmanuel Claase will be banned from MLB for the gambling investigation

I can’t find any independent verification of this except on a Yankees fan site on Facebook. I hope it’s true if they are able to confirm he was doing this.

I don’t know if it’s official yet, just a lot of news sites speculating that it will be the punishment.

I just checked the Dodger Brewer game with the Dodgers leading 5-1. What a bore.

Snell went 8 innings giving up 1 hit. Yamamoto pitched a complete game, 3 hits, 1 run. When they are healthy, it would take luck to beat them. They are so good. And they still have a top shelf farm. Crazy. Frustrating.

First postseason CG since JV in 2017.

Snell could have closed out game one himself. The Dodgers seemingly wanted to get Sasaki some work and it almost cost them. Starters in that series have pitched 17 innings and given up 4 hits and one run. And next up the Dodgers have Glasnow then Ohtani. They're overloaded with top of the rotation starters

It's what happens when you're willing to pay oft-injured guys huge $ to be ready for the playoffs and they don't get injured at the end of the season like they were last year.  The money they have in their rotation for the regular season innings is crazy, but this year the plan worked and everyone is healthy when they needed to be.

They have so much talent, They can pace their starters through the season to try and keep guys healthy and fresh. Sort of what the Spurs did in basketball. When you have so much elite talent you have that luxury. I hate the Dodgers

I hate that there is such disparity in revenues that it allows them to do that.  I wish at the minimum, all $ in deferred contracts were accounted for (i.e. that which wasn't applied to the CBT during the term of the deal gets applied in the later years after the deal) and that signing bonuses were treated in the same way as deferrals - present value.  The way it is, they can defer a large amount, but pay a $50 mil signing bonus and they get the best of both worlds, the value of the contract is reduced due to the deferrals.  Also, if a 7 year contract with deferrals gets a present value correction for CBT, why does a 14 year contract without deferrals (like Soto's) not get a present value correction as $50 mil 14 years from now is definitely worth less than $50 mil now?

At least take away some of those options.

Fully agree. Hopefully it gets addressed with the next cba

My own meager interest in the postseason after our own team’s elimination is now in the hands of the Seattle Mariners.

But given how the Dodgers seem to have resurrected their pitching staff and how poorly Ohtani has hit in the postseason, which probably can’t be expected to continue, i’m not holding my breath about the Mariners chances.

We have a major potential problem developing.

The Twins are interviewing Nick Punto for their managerial opening.

If he gets it, we are doomed to lose every game vs Minnesota by ridiculous BABIP and other assorted small-ball related shenanigans.

Lol, I remember Nick Punto vs Detroit. Punto was the type of player Leyland loved

I have a feeling this may become a scenario often repeated for the Dodgers. It's to a point where some veteran free agents will take less or deferred money to play there for a chance to get a ring. I won't be surprised to see JV end up there as a safety-net starter for them. That's where he (his wife) wanted to go a few years ago. If they are healthy, how many position players on Detroit could start for them? Maybe Riley? Maybe Dillon? And Detroit was a playoff team.

And they claimed Kreidler.

Dodgers better get that ring whilst they can.
