RatkoVarda Posted April 28 Posted April 28 SSS all around, but 1 month in, hitters generally producing - Cark, Briceno, Rainer, Liranzo, Franyerber. Callahan, Anderson, Peck, Stephenson are pleasant surprises. Maybe Bigbee too. Lee and Rucker are scuffling. McGonigle injured. If you squint really hard you can see a ML player in Campos - but no HRs in Erie so far. Gold, Serretti, Payton Graham, Izzac Pecheco - yikes. Quote

You can see why Harris went after these guys specifically. The approach has shifted that way in Detroit with some guys and you can tell how much of a difference it makes to the overall offense. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted May 2 Author Posted May 2 Manning used in middle relief tonight. Lots of Velo on his FB - almost hit 98. Clean 6th, got the first two outs in the 7th, then walked the bases loaded. Matt Gage had to come in and get the 3rd out. 1.2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 2K, 3 BB. Quote

Yeah, he should probably focus on relief at this point. But I also think some team would be happy to give him a shot at starting. He must be approaching minor league free agency soon Quote

That's a big increment from where he sits when he starts - enough to make him a totally different pitcher to face. Edited May 2 by gehringer_2 Quote

If he can crank it up like he did... and that's all he's good for, is the one inning... Then just limit him to that. IMO. Quote
