Motor City Sonics Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM WOW. Scott Harris with the ALL-IN move. Amazing. (I'm just practicing). Come on, man, did they consult Steve Yzerman at the deadline here? I mean, crickets, man, crickets Quote

RatkoVarda Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM Author Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM OK then; is this guy any better than any rando arm currently at Toledo? Quote

Not from the look of it. Long time middle reliever with a career WHIP of almost 1.5. We're not going to want to see him work at leverage. Edited yesterday at 02:59 AM by gehringer_2 Quote
IdahoBert Posted yesterday at 03:11 AM Posted yesterday at 03:11 AM Montero‘s last decent season was three years ago with the Astros and after that season he signed a three-year contract for $11.5 million a year. He’s a rental. Do they see something in him they can “fix?“ Quote
RatkoVarda Posted yesterday at 03:17 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:17 AM So Montero replaces Enns? Montero's advanced #s much better than ERA; has some velocity; BBs are a problem Quote

SoCalTiger Posted yesterday at 04:35 AM Posted yesterday at 04:35 AM Trades so far about as expected. Not much return for rentals. More for controllable players. Still think Scottie has something more in store. 1 Quote
Scottwood Posted yesterday at 07:30 AM Posted yesterday at 07:30 AM I would guess that Harris would be interested in trying to acquire Shane Bieber from Cleveland. It should be low cost and potentially high upside. Quote

IdahoBert Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I guess we have about 12 hours left, but I’m starting to feel like we’re the poor kid in Polar Express who lives on the wrong side of the tracks for whom Christmas just never works out. I don’t want to mortgage the future for momentary gain. And there’s something to be said for “pulling yourself up by your boot straps“ but I don’t think that kid even had straps on his boots. 1 Quote

M’s got Suárez by trading their 9th, 16th, 17th prospects. We had the players to beat this deal without doing any harm to our very deep system. I’m getting the sense Harris loves his prospects so much that he may never be a guy to be active on big deals at the deadline (especially for rentals). Quote
