IdahoBert Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I’m fine with Montero. It’s better than the pen getting over extended. The next two games are Flaherty and Olsen. There are no starters assigned to the next series by either team. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I wonder if after the break AJ will split Skubal and Mize up? As is we go 3 straight games with unreliable pitching, may be better served to break that up. Quote
IdahoBert Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I don’t think we’re going to need any driveway reports today. Something good happened! Quote

I’m sure they have some data driven framework for just exactly which style of pitcher should follow which. Quote

There's no question that Flaherty is having a bad year, but there might be a tiny bit of light coming through the cracks. Flaherty's FIP- is kinder to him than his ERA-; and his fWAR is better than his RA9-WAR. That said, his Statcast and PitchingBot Stuff cards are blue as the sea, dramatically different from last season. I do think Hinch is still a long way from bailing on him, although putting some space between Flaherty and Skubal might be a sign. If he continues at this pace, he might end up being the spot starter in October. Quote
IdahoBert Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Nice first by Montero and brilliant strategy to give up an early single to get an easy double play. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Can we give him two errors on that? One for the play and one for his eye black? 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago The Rays tried to give us a gift, but we refused to accept it, because we want to earn those runs. Quote
