lordstanley Posted Thursday at 02:35 AM Posted Thursday at 02:35 AM Brewers lose for the 4th time in 5 games, including 3 straight losses to the Cubs who they play again tomorrow. For funsies, let’s have the Tigers make a little run at Milwaukee for best record in baseball. The Brewers’ record is 4 games better than the Tigers’. Quote

Top of the 9th ended for the Brewers with the bases loaded. They had pulled it to 4-3 but couldn't come up with a 4th. 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted Thursday at 02:50 AM Posted Thursday at 02:50 AM Royals lose. The Tigers' AL Central lead is back up to double digits! 10.0 games over KC, 10.5 games over Cleveland. 2 Quote

Sports_Freak Posted yesterday at 12:23 AM Posted yesterday at 12:23 AM Houston taking all their frustration out on Baltimore. They've already scored 7 runs in the first 3 innings ..lol I hope they get hot and win their division. They're the only division leader we have the tie-breaker against. Quote

If I had to pick, I’d rather Seattle get hot than Houston because they have more ground they would need to make up on the Tigers. The tiebreaker advantage is only worth 1 game and the Mariners are 2 games worse than the Astros right now. Chance of the tiebreaker even coming into play is probably only around 10% or so. Quote

Seattle scares me. Their lineup is deep and they've had good pitching for a few years. I wouldn't want to play them, home or away. Quote

But I’m debating in my head how much that is offset by the fact that if they do play the Tigers I’d be just a quick trip down the I-5 to be in attendance. So I’m a bit torn. Quote
oblong Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago My advice after 40 years of being a big enough fan to care about such things.... don't root for or against any team in the playoffs in terms of a matchup. You will get burned. 2 Quote

I was glad the New Jersey Devils knocked out the higher-ranked Flyers to reach the ‘95 SCF and clear the path for a Red Wings championship. 1 Quote

The Avs have no defense and are soft and we own Patrick Roy... bring 'em on. 1 Quote

RandyMarsh Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Yeah countless examples in my fandom where the team I wanted we lost to and the team I didn't we ended up beating. I didn't want the Lakers in 04 and the Pistons won, I wanted the Spurs over the SUns in 05 and we ended up losing. Didn't want the Yankees in 06 and we beat them liked our chances with the Cardinals and we lost. Wanted TCU and Michigan lost, I didn't particularly like playing Alabama and Michigan won. Just a few of many examples. Quote
chasfh Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago We beat the Padres in 84 for the ring, but I still wished we’d played the Cubs instead for the premium matchup. Quote
