Correct and if he had better hitters, he wouldn't do things like bat a fourth outfielder in the middle of the order.

Just took a peek between meetings.  Happy to see 1 - 0 , but not as happy after glancing at P x P and seeing golden chance to score more wasted (again).  Just get a 3 run cushion guys.     

Well, at least they've scored 4 runs in the series so far.  If we could just push that to a cumulative Bert for the 3 games, we might have a chance.

Edit:  oh gosh, now it's 2 on with 1 out.   I can't bear to look.

Because it's so early in the game and his defense is worth quite a bit.   If it's the 7th inning, he likely pinch hits.

 

He also has shown an ability to put the ball in play and take a walk.
