Motor City Sonics Posted Wednesday at 12:24 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:24 AM I am wondering how good Decker will be. He's being held together with duct tape at this point. I mean, I respect the fact that he is willing to fight through it to play, but he is someone that likely won't be practicing much this season. I hope he has enough left. Quote
Shinzaki Posted Wednesday at 03:18 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:18 AM I dont know..was he troubled last year byan accute injury that became nagging and has lessened, or is it a chronic issue that will always hamper him. I do not know Quote
Sports_Freak Posted Wednesday at 01:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:08 PM Free Agency starts at 4PM on March 11th. Just a heads up to what to look forward to.... Quote
KnoxP Posted Wednesday at 08:07 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:07 PM (edited) MCS and Shinzaki...Those are indeed where the rubber meets the road. I'm glad he's coming back, and they will manage his reps to do their best to keep him fresh. He's a respected guy and can continue to help stabilize that OL. Even if he's not what he once was. buddha Posted yesterday at 02:33 AM Posted yesterday at 02:33 AM Decker announcing he's coming back doesnt alleviate their need at left tackle. i suspect decker is close to finished. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted yesterday at 03:00 AM Posted yesterday at 03:00 AM Interesting profile. He was fantastic in 2023 with the Broncos (top five in both run and pass defense), which earned him the big deal with the Titans. Then he tore his Achilles midway through 2024, started 2025 on PUP, and wasn't quite the same after he got back on the field. He's probably a better option than Glasgow, but that's a low bar. And he's only ever been a center, so limited utility as a backup. Quote
buddha Posted yesterday at 03:08 AM Posted yesterday at 03:08 AM he's being cut for a reason. no thanks. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago (edited) I don't know how my post about Decker ended up in the game thread, I intended to post it here. "Look, if it’s not [Decker returning], then we’ve got to find a guy,” Campbell said. “But if it is, we’re still going to find a guy. Because as much as I love ‘Deck,’ he’s got some things that are going to need some management. That’s kind of where we’re at. One way or another, we’re going to need somebody that can play over there and that can help us if we need them in a crunch or we need them as a starter. That’s important.” Campbell said about Decker that they would have to "manage him" essentially. That kind of talk from Campbell doesn't instill confidence in Decker playing a full season's worth of games. It makes me feel like there will be a lot of load and game management involved. Games where Decker doesn't start or play at all. That to me says they need to draft his replacement and get someone who can even come in year one and start some games. Given the money they are paying Decker, his age, and declining stability as a player, why not just cut him and spend the money on a veteran who might be able to give you more stability and playing time at the position? Maybe they just don't feel there is a guy out there that can match Decker's play and be healthier at the same time. This kind of statement also says to me that they are going to need to draft a Tackle early in the upcoming draft. This is not going to be a Manu in the 5th round type of pick, this is taking a Tackle in the 1st or 2nd. Edited 12 hours ago by Mr.TaterSalad Quote
Motown Bombers Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Just amazing how this guy got so hyped up on athletic traits when he never proved he could actually play the position. I wouldn't mind brining him in in a Taysom Hill type roll. Quote
Jason_R Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Pass. The offense does not need help, outside of OL and TE depth which could be had in the draft for the pick Indy wants in return. Do not want to see assets deployed for someone who would take touches away from a stacked skill group. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Richardson definitely deserves another shot. Entering his fourth year in the NFL, he's younger than yet-to-be-drafted Garrett Nussmeier. The Colts did him dirty making him start as a rookie. I don't think it makes sense here though. I expect he may replace Malik Willis in Green Bay or backup Stafford in LA. The Vikings maybe interested as well, they don't know what to do at QB. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Lions ranked pretty high across the board. Coach, GM, Owner all got A’s. Only bad grade was offensive coordinator. I think there was more going on with Morton. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I’m wondering if it’s normal for judges in Florida to issue lengthy “factual” orders denying pre-trial release. Everything contained in the order is an allegation. One side of the story. It all looks pretty airtight, but cases often do at this stage. I don’t really love the idea of reporting it as fact, and it coming from a Judge’s pen sure carries that appearance. If it is all true, I wouldn’t be that surprised if Arnold is eventually charged with conspiracy of some sort. Not good allegations. Quote
CMRivdogs Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Per the Athletic In their first unexpected move of the offseason, the Washington Commanders are releasing starting center Tyler Biadasz, a league source with direct knowledge of their plans said. The team, that person said, decided it was best to go “in a different direction” after Biadasz, 28, started 31 games over the last two seasons for the Commanders. Quote
