And of course it makes total sense. Practically no one would tell the truth in this situation, regardless of person or party, because if/once they did, they as staff would be minimized and marginalized within the larger political world, and also, the moment he dies, they'll be out of a job. pfife Posted July 8 Posted July 8 (edited) I thought Stevens started out really strong in the debate but seemed to fade later on. El Sayed was very very extremely on message about corporate money in politics and in Stevens camp pain. Stevens keeps dropping hammer fists on her podium and its echoing through the mic. Motown Bombers Posted July 8 Posted July 8 The guy who campaigned for Platner, Tulsi and Fetterman is campaigning for El-Genocide. Nothing says end the gerontocracy like campaigning with 84 year old Bernie Sanders. 1 Quote

It didn't touch Eisenhower and money wasn't the kind of issue it is today. Nixon also had some goodwill to burn, being a bit of a folk hero with the anti-communist crowd gained from of the Whittaker Chambers case. Plus it's a very different kind of allegation. Platner's not the second fiddle on a ticket. He can go ahead and hope he gets some swell of support from the public, but that wouldn't bring back the $$ to continue if the party funders have decided he's toast.
