He needs to go and focus on his life, marriage, and being a better human being. Or maybe just a bad hair day. So on the odd chance, what are the rules in Maine for dropping out after the primary? EDIT: NMD - just saw the answer up thread Edited July 6 by gehringer_2 Quote

He is a hot mess and the scandals just keep piling up. An allegation of sexual assault is very serious and should be fully investigated. Given all the other scandals plaguing him and his past comments on Reddit about rape and sexual assault, I presume he is likely guilty of it or something that walks right up to that line. lets say they are going to get him to drop - how is it going to work any better than 2024? Are they going to put Mills back on the ballot after she got zero traction with Dem voters? Sound's like that would be a walk in the park for Collins. Is there a popular Dem that can step in now that nobody bothered to recruit last year? Edited July 6 by gehringer_2 Quote
Motown Bombers Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Who the **** does Platner think he is to call the shots? Quote

For better or worse that gives him a certain amount of leverage. But how serious is the demand anyway? Is it anything more than an ego massage so he can go away claiming "he got what he wanted for Maine"? He could make a show of saying it can't be Mills, who doesn't seem likely to beat Collins anyway. She was going nowhere in that race. If she couldn't pull 20% of the Dem primary vote she's not a serious shot to win the general. She may have won prior statewide elections but the people in Maine apparently want her staying put right where they elected her to be. Quote

romad1 Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Dems need to find someone else who has some youth and some integrity. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Besides Nazism and rape, what did Platner's youth provide? Quote
GalagaGuy Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Hopefully they take a look at his 100% disability rating. I called it a while back that he was likely scamming and I'm even more sure of it now. Dude is pure scum in ever possible way. Quote

He went to an $80k a year private school. His oyster farm is a hobby. They need to take a look into the Pod Save Loser and David Hogg. Platner didn't manifest out of thin air. These rat****ers found him and propped him and supported him. I also want to know why Platner's money dried up as soon as he won the nomination. Quote

Of course speaking of stringing sentences, in a society where a Supreme Court Justice can't string sentences together that can reach the safe harbor of logic before foundering, what should we expect? Abdul El-Genocide said she couldn’t string sentences together because of AIPAC. The far left seems to have a problem with misogyny. Quote
oblong Posted July 7 Posted July 7 I think Stephen King's point isn't a defense of Platner but a rebuke of Congress. Quote
