pfife Posted July 7 Posted July 7 (edited) Of course, not wanting him to drop out is different than supporting him but alas, yet again honesty in poasts isnt something we can assume from magatownbummersgenocide You would think that they would want accuracy in language after poasting that accuracy in language burn from Haley Stevens but alas, again hypocrisy is always present in magatownbummersgenocide poasts. TBF, even follow-up posts notwithstanding, it does read somewhat exculpatory of him, though, as in, “everyone else in Congress is a rotten rapist, so why draw the line at Platner?” Edited July 7 by chasfh Quote

With Alito it seems more like he is just a moron who somehow peter principled himself all the way to SCOTUS. Edited July 7 by gehringer_2 Quote

pfife Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Its really easy for the mind to go to some very cynical places with that news. Quote

GalagaGuy Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Even if a special election were held for Mitch, it wouldn't be until November 3rd. That means his replacement would take office less than 2 months early and with a total of 22 days where the Senate was in session. People acting like there's a conspiracy to keep a special election from being held are just being dumb for social media attention. Quote

Supposedly they have to have McConnell hold the seat until it's too late for Massey to file to run for the seat in Nov. That's sometime in August IIRC. Under some kind of scenario that roils the GOP vote enough to either give the seat to the no-Trumper (Massey) or throw it to the Dems. Edited July 7 by gehringer_2 Quote
