whether we agree or not, I'm sure Iran's position is that a cease-fire means Israel stops shooting at their clients and that surely hasn't happened either.

I don't think it was a completely pointless. A lot of wealthy evil people used the top of their evil game to get a lot more wealthy. Which is probably why nukes didn't end up being used after all: there's no money in dropping nukes. All that would do is destroy a wealth of resources controlled by Iran.
