oblong Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Well we have seen people, like Vance, go the other way, so I guess it’s possible for the reverse to happen. I hope we can go back to a “normal” two party system. Quote

I hope we can go back to a “normal” two party system. I'm in the camp that's still on the fence. I think the "break" with Trump came when he when he did not endorse her for a Senate run. JV Last theorizes it's a combination of things. She was born into a wealthy Catholic family, got married while in college. She had three children, joined the family business. Along the way she became disillusioned with the Church over the child abuse scandals, got into CrossFit and opened a gym. She also got sucked into social media conspiracy algorithms. That lead to politics and a divorce. It was also about the same time that Trump's populist theories were catching on. The theory here is a combination of the information in the Epstein papers along with getting rebuffed in her political ambitions by Trump. Who knows if it will stick or not? It's an interesting theory https://www.thebulwark.com/p/marjorie-taylor-greene-and-eat-pray-love-epstein-files Quote

I think MTG was your average mom that lived in a red bubble and was outraged by the 'evil' left. I somewhat wonder if she went to DC with good intentions and is starting to see the 'right' side isn't really working for the average people either. Add in the fact that she seems to be willing to learn and that has softened a lot of her conspiracy theory talk. She will continue to vote for republican minded fiscal and social issues though, the left will realize and start ****ting on her again, and it's up in the air on if she can break free of Trump and not get booted from the party. (booted by getting primaried) Quote

Talk about lazy. Quote

No serious person on "teh left" is expecting anything different from her. Quote

I think "the left" is enjoying the infighting, but that's common of anyone when they see their opponents imploding and fighting against each other. Quote

For instance, there were Reps/Sens that changed parties over Vietnam and Watergate, but politics has become so much a matter or culture and identity - a situation which has been mined especially deeply by the right, that I think we may now see people throw up their hands and quit, but the incidence of people changing sides is going to be really, really rare. And the flip side of that is that today the other side is never going to welcome you or trust you or forgive who you were if you did consider crossing over. Quote
Tiger337 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago How can I hide this forum. I had it hidden for a few months, but now it's back again. Somebody sent me a message (on twitter) showing me how to do it, but I no longer have access to that message. Politics just gets me pissed off now and my life is better when I get away from it. Quote

The real answer is I should just ignore it but I read the post preview and can't help myself but click in sometimes! Quote
