Hope it's not the late 2025 Wenceel that shows up. He was totally lost at the plate the last half of last season.   Perez is not the boost that the Tigers need.............................. Prove me wrong Wenceel.

so how good is Max Clarks glove supposed to be?

Very good and he might be able to hit as well as Meadows even he has rookie struggles.  I have no idea if they think he's ready.  I know he's off to a hot start, but he seemed to be struggling this Spring.

Clark probably doesn't get called until they are ready to play him full time and I'd guess Wenceel is not going to play CF full-time.

I think Hinch will do lot of rotating - Perez, Vierling, Baez.  Baez's numbers are surprisingly good this year.  He might be primed for another good half season like last year.   Or not. You never know what you'll get from him.

The Tigers have 3 other centerfielders. Javy, Vierling and Perez. I don't think Max will be here until maybe a September call up.

September?

No...

I don't believe it will be that long before he gets called up.

If he stays on fire in Toledo, there's going to be a groundswell of noise to call the kid up.

I don't think Harris is even in a resisting mood, at all... but I do believe he will be playing it cautious.

So... maybe mid-May or thereabouts?

Just a WAG...

It's Baez FT for now. Sprinkle in some Wenceel PH's or against nasty RH'ers... I don't think even Vierling will get much time there, close to nil... IMO.

Until Harris/ Hinch decide to call up Clark.

Javy seemed to hit a lot better when he was playing centerfield. Now perhaps I’m just making all this up, but I think centerfield is probably a less stressful position and he seemed to be better with the bat with less stress to deal with.

He's hitting pretty well right now.  I just looked him up and was surprised by his numbers.

gameday preview shows Baez in CF, Perez in RF, Kerry DH.

good, good, the MLB.tv radio overlay has the Spanish broadcast when WXYT is selected and the regular TV audio when TV or the Spanish broadcast is selected. at least on my Roku. I thought they were past that after all the similar nonsense a couple seasons ago.

Looking forward to Paddack’s historic 22K 98 pitch perfect game. Also loving those bright orange Cal Ripken League jerseys that are taking the place of the hated black Nike City Connect jerseys that look like something out of Tron worn by robots that could kill you.

I hope the Spanish is at least perfectly synced with the action on the field…

Wow! We all of course, know that batting average ain’t the whole story, but Riley, Spencer, and Kerry are all batting below .200 entering game number 14. This is not good. At least Carpenter has connected a couple times, but still this is disappointing hitting.

I just checked on my TV going through the MLB.TV app and I’m getting the correct radio feed and it’s perfectly synced so either they changed it or there’s a problem with the way Roku is accessing the game.
