Just odd because he came out for a defensive replacement in top 8, and his spot in the lineup led off the bottom of 8.

Weirdest thing in this game (not the loss, that's normal), there were 5 pinch hitters used for the 3rd spot in the batting order --.may never see that again.

Perfect ending..he got the first two outs and runner did not advance...and could not finish the job. Jansen has done that at least twice.

Dan can't believe 4 walk off HRs on 50 games, but look at the pitch profile of the Tiger bullpen. Guys who rely on splits and changes - those are pitches that leave the yard when mistakes are made. Vest  *was* the only guy with a good fastball, and his is generally a two seamer, and this season his velo is down.

Anderson doesn't have the stuff to be dominant, he's strictly an arm .

And sorry Mr. Melton, you need to throw 9 shutout innings to get a win with this offense and bullpen.
