Ima drop some maths knowledge on you morans.

Ian Kinsler, 35.0 WAR in 8 seasons with the Rangers.  17.6 WAR in 4 seasons with the Tigers.  That’s consistency at the macro level.

Woo-suk Go has  a 0.82 WHiP in 41 innings.  That's some solid mathing.

He was on a borderline HOF pace, until the wheels came off at the end.

The Tigers have been playing well for 5 weeks (17-12).  This is what could have been if the injuries didn't destroy them in May.

Believe it or not, the Tigers have the best record in the American League since May 31. Games over/below .500 in games played between June 1-July 4 (*tonight's Athletics, Boston and Los Angeles games still in progress).

Detroit +5

Houston +4

Minnesota +2

Tampa +2

Texas +2

Seattle  0

Chicago -1

Baltimore -2

Boston -2

Athletics -3

Cleveland -3

Los Angeles -3

New York  -3

Toronto -3

Kansas City -4

It is not too surprising.  They have played well since May and the league is bad.

The hilarious part is how they are pretending consumers would be excited about this and would actually want it.

The biggest hint that they don’t is that none of the late afternoon games could bump seniors golf off the broadcast network.

As a person who has the peacock service already as well as Apple TV, I tend to ignore these types of things.

But today just feels like too much. It’s one thing for a game or two per month to end up on one of these exclusive non-traditional cable services, but to pull every game from every team off of its local broadcast on the same day seems insane.

I don’t really agree that golf being on in the afternoon means all that much. But I do agree that no one wants this or cares about this “event”. It takes a lot to piss off fans of literally every team in the same day.

Tigers were off Friday. Saturday was the fourth and many were busy. And today it’s this.  I have peacock so I can watch. I just hate watching within an app. I like being able to flip around. Not a big deal but annoying. I feel like I have to go out of my way to watch it.

They need to do a better job with set top boxes or whatever that makes the flipping easier.  I play xbox while they are on defense.

I have xfinity and the apps are built into it so I don’t have go out to my TVs internal apps or a Roku/amazon stick. It saves a step. But still annoying enough.

This extra charge to watch your favorite team today is a travesty.  Especially for those that are already paying to watch on the regular service.  The MLB is losing thousands of fans, but they don't seem to care.  This stuff is going to get worse.   It's no wonder that baseball is no longer America's pastime.  If the strike does happen, it will take more than a McGuire/ Sosa homerun chase to bring fans back. They may be gone forever.

I read that Prince Hal also was an all star before 21. Nevertheless the point still stands.

He was a on a list that someone published.

besides the inherent difficulty I have with paying any sort of attention to a radio broadcast when I'm blacked out, the thing I hate most is the radio ads and, if I want to mute them, not having a visual cue for when I can unmute. so I wrote a little thing for my computer to mute the system audio outputs for 90 seconds and then automatically unmute. just gotta run it as soon as Dan starts wrapping up before the break, and it'll come back just about right on time. lifesaver.
