casimir Posted July 31 Author Posted July 31 Clark was called up, what, late Wednesday? So logistics being what they are, they probably had to do it then to make the transition as easy as possible, jump on the team flight to ATH, get acclimated to the team, yada, yada, yada. But he gets the call up notice on Wednesday, then has to wait until Friday to get into the game. Add in the time zone difference. Today is probably going to be the longest wait for a game in his life. Quote

Tenacious D Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Was actually hoping Mize would stay and re-sign. Any expectation on a potential return has to be better than what we received for Flaherty (Sweeney/Liranzo). Quote
Tiger337 Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Imagine being an Athletics fan salivating over the thought of a bullpen game versus the Tigers crap bullpen and then losing 2-1. Isn't that how this usually works? Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted July 31 Posted July 31 (edited) A's announcer (or network guy) says Campy was justified because the pitch hit him in the ankle. I mean, COME ON, man. Aurelio Rodriguez with some awesome mutton chops............. Edited July 31 by Motor City Sonics Quote
chasfh Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Max is starting and batting seventh. That’s my prediction. Quote
IdahoBert Posted July 31 Posted July 31 The Tigers are selling! The planets all lined up like at the end of 2001 A Space Odyssey the last time they did this. And, with a better end than dying in a big room! Here’s hoping for a repeat! Quote

All the things I have seen is the expectation should be a back half top 100 prospect at the very least because the Tigers could just hold on and get a comp pick in the draft next year so it has to be better value than that. IdahoBert Posted July 31 Posted July 31 I have such bad memories of these West Coast swings back when we actually had better teams. I would say going 5-4 would be good, in general, but that’s just treading water and then we face Cleveland and the White Sox at home. It’s kind of hard to believe they’ll turn things around in the face of all this. Oh well. I guess there’s other things than baseball going on. Quote

The Tigers will be heading to Pittsburgh in 1st place. Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted July 31 Posted July 31 worst OPS in the lineup is .724 Also means Outman or Vierling is the one gone. Quote
SeattleMike Posted July 31 Posted July 31 I thought Valencia would be in the lineup against all lefties. Quote
