But with the probability that there'll be no baseball for at least a significant portion of 2027, there's some real benefit to keeping Clark in Toledo -- unless you expect to trade Gleyber and thus need to replace Javy's innings in CF. The other option is Colt at 3b with Clark in RF, Javy in CF. Keeps Outman and Maglieri on the bench. Quote

holygoat Posted August 1 Posted August 1 How about Clark in CF and Javy in RF. I still have memories of Max butchering RF in spring training, lol! Quote
JackMorrisStache Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Who is this Torkelson kid putting together some solid at bats over the last few games? Mad Max!!! Great debut! Quote
Tiger337 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Clark looks like a mature hitter - very patient and makes contact. Quote
holygoat Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Wow, Dingler granny. You could see that coming, as the Tigers were teeing off on this guy. Quote
JackMorrisStache Posted August 1 Posted August 1 If it weren’t for Wednesday’s meltdown against the O’s, I’d feel confident going to bed right now….. Quote
papalawrence Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Dingler's ops is back up over .850. The highest in a season ever for a Tigers catcher was .878 by Mr Front Loops. Quote

A desperate GM making a desperate move that's not even addressing this teams biggest problem. But sure, let's see what the kid can do. It's always fun seeing a can't miss prospect make his MLB debut. I wish him well. You’re right that the bullpen is a weakness and needs addressed and that Clark doesn’t address that directly. However, it doesn’t mean that Clark is not ready for promotion and/or that his play in CF and at the plate cannot help the Tigers. Quote
JackMorrisStache Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Wow…. Should have brought Clark up way sooner. Quote

He could see it, hear it, smell it, and I bet he could taste it as it went by him. Fortunately for him he didn’t fell it, but I bet he could feel the wake of the line drive. Quote
