The further away from the Skubal news I get, the better I think our deals were. We might have a starting corner OF, better than Carpenter already, a pitcher who could be in the rotation next year or has the makings to be a dominant closer and the kid they got from San Diego is pretty highly-regarded (I say, get your TJ surgery now and get it over with already). Plus the more I hear from the Skubal camp, the happier I am that we didn't resign him and keep him to receive nothing.
