Anderson didn't prove much tonight. He kept them in the game, but too many base runners (1.5 WHIP) against a team that is not exactly an offensive juggernaut. He has to be at least as good or better the rest of the way - or until we see Flaherty back..

Also, Hurter was unable to get in to the Mud Hen's game in Louisville as scheduled: rained out.

Yep, for all the hype about the Red Sox (and admittedly, they did go 31-5), they're now just 1.0 game better than the Tigers since June 1 for the best record in the AL.

They lost. They have 5 more games against the Angels this season and 6 against ATHs later this year.
