I don't talk to my neighbors at all and that's how I like it. No need to stop and exchange meaningless pleasantries. I'm also not sure if any of them speak English or how well they speak it. The Ukrainians next door and across the street appear to be related. They are always going back and forth and are outside a lot speaking in what I presume to be Ukrainian. I assume they are Ukrainian because they had Ukraine flags out even before the war. The Middle Eastern neighbors don't appear to friendly. It's mostly women and they will stand in their door way and stare at you with a sour look on their face. I only occasionally see men around. I sometimes wonder if the men are stashing their extra wives there. They don't bother me so I don't care. 

Demographics have been changing quite a bit. Anything south of 696 is probably at least 50% black. NW section where I live is a lot of Asian, Middle Eastern and Eastern European immigrants. The NE section is still pretty white.

Our mayor is a liberal woman so I have designs for being mayor yet. I met her when she was running for state rep and her social skills are much better than mine. I probably have worse social skills than Ron Desantis which means I could only run as a MAGA candidate.

Yeah, it's almost never 100% of this and 0% of that anywhere. But I do believe it's true directionally.

LOL. A young family moved in about a block to the east - far enough that we knew where they belonged but had never met. But we could not figure out what was going on - he'd constantly be walking past our house carrying things, sometimes large, and you have to understand there is really no place you can get to walking past our house carrying something. Then it started with the little boy. Way too young to be seen on the street alone in Ann Arbor (HQ for hovering helicopter parents who would consider it parental failure for their kid to be out of their sight for more than 30 consecutive sec before their 18th birthday) also running one way alone, and never returning....

The mystery was finally resolved at a neighborhood open house when it transpired that the Grandparents had moved in a block to the West. 🤣

Almost all the red hats who are mightily exercised about the immigrant population don't live near any immigrants. Immigrants are a scary other to them, so red hats will believe any bad lie that's told about immigrants.

Admittedly I don't know too many rabid anti-immigrant people... but many of the ones I do are from families that only came here a generation or two ago, and whose parents/grandparents were vilified for being of the 'wrong background.'

OK, good feedback.

I purposely cut him off at the eyes because I wanted as little of his face as I could get away with, while still allowing people to immediately identify him. I wanted the focus to be primarily on the crown, not on his face.

I wouldn’t add the clown makeup to mine. That would make it completely different from the joke I wanted to make, and would shift focus from the crown to the clown. Feel free to on your version, though. Would love to see it!

different choices are always possible but but cutting his face off works for me. It's like an additional slight.  He's being minimized, which of course he hates.
