I do agree though that they should've waited till after the 2 minute warning to take a snap but it may not have mattered in the end. 

No guarantee either way.  So what’s the point?  Bleed the clock.  Why try to be so fancy?  I love that the Lions snapped the ball twice before the 2 minute warning in the red zone down 7 and it’s fine.  This is a wild take.
