  1. Past hour
  2. Someone on the hfboards who seems to be plugged in somehow said that the Wings have discussed trading Edvinsson to the Sharks??? If that's true then I could see some sort of package around that bringing back 2nd overall or Misa. Was kinda shocked to read that though.
  3. Look who’s on it, though! Even though Kurtz is trying to be somewhat exculpatory, at least he wasn’t calling it a hoax.
  4. we were just across the street from the Make Way for Ducklings thing. So, yeah we were on Beacon st. I know why I chose that SW direction because it was the direction of the Lindt store which i figured would have funny chocolate gifts.
  5. I guess Woike also said Detroit and Atlanta are two teams who might take a swing at Reaves. I agree with Ku on that possibility.
  6. I took my kids on a chocolate walk-about just to hit all the chocolate places in a straight line from our place I think i chose the cardinal direction south west. We hit like 6 different places. Detroit should strive to get to that level of walk-ability.
  7. Those two and probably Montero may be the exceptions. Probably Anderson too.
  8. You stayed very close to where I now live. There is a bar there that the show was based on, on Beacon Street. Boston's definitely not known for its food-it's geared mostly towards college students. The North End and Chinatown do have a few good casual places, though. And honestly the reason I've stuck around is because of how easy it is to get around without a car. IMHO the best vacations are ones where you just wander around and see what you may find. One of my favorite things to do is walk through the Public Garden, then down the park that runs down Comm Ave. One of these days I want to walk the Freedom Trail and go on a Swan Boat ride-that'll probably be the next time I have friends and/or family in town.
  9. Jack Eichel was 24 and Larkin has never hit 80 points in his career. The first round pick was 18th overall. Meanwhile you're talking about the second overall pick (in a draft where the top 2 players are fantastic prospects) and Misa who was considered one of the best prospects in the entire league? Tuch is a good player but he was never the same level prospect as Misa. Krebs had plenty of warts which we've seen play out in his career where he's settled in as a less than 40 point player who is bad at defense. I admire your optimism but I think you're going to be very sad with the trade return if this is what you're expecting. I'll give you your kudos if something like this happens but.....it seems insane to me.
  10. No. It is ridiculous Harper has to deal with that while trying to inbound. He couldn't even pass to someone in the corner because of the guy in orange.
  11. Read an article that said Skubal Bb rate is the lowest it’s ever been, Mize’s is his career avg and Mize’s K’s are career high
  12. Agreed. Hinch likes to start Short when a ground ball pitcher, like Valdez, starts. But for other pitchers, he should only be a late inning defensive replacement.
  13. This would take them out of the running for Duren. I honestly don't think they were ever seriously considering him anyway. Woike is the Lakers beat write for The Athletic.
  14. Maine folks earn crazy voting decisions via their rough winters.
  15. Boston also is not to be missed. Great aquarium. Also, some historical crap. :--) We stayed just off Boston Commons near the "Cheers" bar which apparently was not the one from the show. We never set foot in there because that would have been really cheesy. Very walkable town. Passable food.
  16. I’m not gonna go look at stats, but I think you could probably say that K rates are down and BB rates are up for most of the pitchers on the team—particularly relievers.
  17. When Eichel was dealt he had a creer high of 82 points and a bad neck. Eichel and a 3rd netted Buffalo Tuch, Krebs and 1st and a 2nd. If anything...I'm letting the Sharks off light
  18. Let's go!!
  19. We should trade Seider
  20. This is honestly a big need right now—a late inning defensive replacement for Carpenter/Perez/Vierling and even Greene. You can add Malgeri to the 40 and call him up, but he wouldn’t be playing every day most likely—so they would rather use a roster spot on a guy like Outman who can sit on the bench and we don’t have to worry about stunting any development. People on here have been vocal about Zach Short, but we really need the good defense he gives us as a late inning sub. I can see the complaints about him starting more games than he should, but as a bench player on the roster he has some value. Moreso than Workman and Jones at least.
  21. I'm sure everyone is on pins and needles to see Space X IPO debut today. Trading on the NASDAQ under ticker symbol SPCX it finally hit the tape at 11:46 am today. Price started at $135.00 but quickly the market took over. The broader market is trading at +299 on the Dow, +27 on the S&P, and +40 on the NASDAQ. Space X at $166 as I type this.
  22. So none of the 27 players who got MVP votes are playing in the Stanley Cup Final.
  23. We enjoyed Portland, ME during our brief stop during a cruise last fall. Stayed close to the port but did a nice amble around the tourist district. About 15 years ago we did a tenting trip thru New England and into Acadia. Way too much rain but did enjoy the park. Nothing against “Mainiacs” but I won’t interfere in there elections and don’t expect them to influence ours here in Virginia
  24. My wife has been bugging me for years to do an upper New England vacation. Part of it is I hate vacations full of planning and itineraries. I just want to rend a condo on the beach and veg out for a week and see what comes up.
  25. If a conservative tells you they are for free markets and hate socialism show them this as it being a complete lie.
  26. Are you sure you wouldn't want them to throw Celebrini in too to make it more even?
