Go take a look at the IG pages of Yaxel and Jeremy Fears at MSU. This is how NIL is supposed to work. Most of the posts are paid ads from large companies. Actual branding that is used to effectively market directly to kids of their generation. It’s not just free money handed out for nothing. It’s actual paid work that has value. Unfortunately, this doesn’t come close to solving the real issue which is there is no honor among thieves. Schools and their boosters are always looking for an edge and will continue to illegally use money to gain an advantage. The NCAA has tried to play ball and given every school $20M to legally pay players and that’s still not nearly enough. I don’t have the answers and I’m not sure they exist but they need to figure how to create penalties with some teeth in them.

I know technically Minnesota drafted Kliintman. But it was one of those deals where they picked him for Detroit to be traded later on in July when the new season started. The reason I brought it up. The two picks after Klintman were Ajay Mitchell and Jaylen Wells. The draft is a big guessing game after 10 or 15 spots, but still.

While im not a huge believer in Colt Keith, he's 24 and Hinch is already pulling him against lefties. I'd rather have him up there than Jones, a guy who has trouble hitting against everyone.

I have hundreds of blank cassette tapes. I'd love some of those games on cassette if that ever was possible. For a few years I used to tape Sports Final Edition on channel 4 figuring that was a good way to summarize at least the weekend if not a week of Detroit sports on a weekly basis. I got about a year or maybe two done but then quit with it. I don't have those tapes any more though.
