  1. Past hour
  2. The best laid plans of mice and men…
  3. Should we question Skubal's off-season conditioning? That guy wants $450 million and can't go more than six innings. The Brewers also use bunt plays to perfection. I wish AJ Hinch would work on fundamentals with this Tigers club.
  4. It looks like a reasonably well attended afternoon game for April in Detroit.
  5. Matty walks and Tork up. A 2-out Tork bomb would achieve the magic number.
  6. The speedy Dingler beats out a throw to 1st allowing Keith to score. 3-1 Tigs.
  7. Dingler doesn’t dilly dally. Beats out the throw from 2nd so no double play. 3-1 Tigers bottom of the 6th.
  8. Well, a fielder's choice RBI is a way to score that run. 3-1
  9. Riley with a hit off a LHP...like it.
  10. Gameday just told me that Torre‘s bat speed is down 3.0 mph compared to last year and his bat speed was already below the major league average of 71.2 mph back then.
  11. Good Lord, the Brewers are really good at nickel and dime-ing you to death if they can’t out slug you.
  12. Today
  13. Thats great news.
  14. Brad doesn't stay put. I would prefer moving back and gathering more picks but that is easier said than done.
  15. Yes from week 6 through 17 not counting week 9 or 11 he was the 10th rated pass blocking OT.
  16. According to rule 5.09(a): "A catch is the act of a fielder in getting secure possession in his hand or glove of a ball in flight and firmly holding it in his possession; providing he does not use his cap, protector, pocket or any part of his uniform in getting possesion." It doesn't say he gets a single, but it is not an out. A related rule: "When a pitched ball becomes stuck in a catcher’s mask or gear, it is an immediate dead ball. According to MLB Rule 5.06(c)(7), runners are awarded one base, and the batter is awarded first base if it was ball four or strike three. It is not considered a catch if the ball lodges in the mask on a foul tip." The catcher is not the pitcher, but seems to be very similar to what happened with Gilbert.
  17. It was such a luxury to get in my car after my morning walk in the foothills and hear Dan call Riley‘s 2-run home run. And we’ve got Gibby talking to Dan. And, actually, the obscuring fetish of a no-hitter is now over which is good.
  18. I dont think he threw a ball in the 3rd inning.
  19. Disagree on Duren...he's been a focal point of Orlando's defense for a reason. I'm not entirley convinced he's completely healthy right now...since his knee injury he does not look as explosive off the floor as he was prior to that...I suspect he might be playing through a nagging injury. Nonetheless..he's made strides in a number of areas this year, including his ability to make passes off the double team when they collapse.
  20. I'm not a fan of Perez in CF but just strike every Brewer out and I'll be OK with it...😅😅
